(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going! The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.” - Walt Disney
I like this quote, and I think this attitude explains why Walt was the backbone of a magical movement that lives on years after his death.
I want to spend some time looking into this particular aspect of Walt's personality.
Let's first take a look at an important fact. With most projects, there MUST be some element of talking, or planning. There HAS to be that phase where you form...

Today was Baby Karl's first day back to church since the day after Christmas. He was a bright, alert, healthy boy that day. Then on New Year's Eve something did not look right. His quick thinking parents brought him right to the hospital where he was soon on a ventilator with tube feeding, completely paralyzed. I mean not able to move a muscle for any functional purpose. Even his internal organs were shut down!
A smart doctor diagnosed him with infant Botulism, most likely from something...

Today I'm thinking about how great it is to have a way to measure your goal progress. Sometimes it can be difficult to do this.
One of the projects that alot of PassPorters work on is posting photos on the albums in their home pages. We had a glitch in the system recently that replaced all the photos with BIG RED Xs! It was so disappointing!
One of our bloggers has been using these albums to mark her progress with paintings, and it was so disappointing to see nothing...

Friday is such a great day! It is like the big reward for making it through another work week.
Even though I have an early appointment tomorrow, there is something so great about a Friday night!
Of course, my early appointment is a choice. I'll be going bowling with three adorable kids! I could say that I am there to be nice and help, but the truth is that I'm there because it's alot of fun!
There is not a whole lot of difference between tomorrow's time...

Today I finished an extremely difficult puzzle at work. It is three dimensional and has a couple hundred pieces.
I was working with some of my older students on finding the flat edges first, finding the most obvious details for groupings, and generally being patient.
The puzzle took almost a month because we could only spend a little time each session.
I have to say that, in the beginning, I did not have a whole lot of faith that it would ever get finished....
