(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going! I'm almost ready to wrap up a project that has been in the making for a couple years. It is the book about Harold Gantert, the Prisoner of War in Stalag Luft III.
The last time I read the draft from my co-author, Jeff Edwards, I couldn't find words.
Today he gave me another draft, which was even better than the last one, and the word came to me.
The funny thing is, it is the same word I think of as I read the updates of the blog goals and projects here....

A silly PassPorter group goal was to be the last guests to ride Space Mountain one evening. Tara, SuperDave and I met that goal. The cast members whooped and cheered as they boarded the car behind us and, let me tell you, I never heard a happier group of screamers as we rode the attraction together.
I had the chance to shoot this photo! ...

I think one of the secrets of making most dreams come true would be having good support people around.
Walt, of course had Roy, Lily. When you think about the parks, he had a whole list of engineers, Imagineers, writers, cartoonists, and important people right down to the guys who painted walls or helped empty the garbage cans in the parks.
When I look at the goals or dreams that we might have, we're not different. We may not have an army, but there are usually just enough...

3 months down, seven to go. Blogging every day for a year seems a bit like a chore today.
I'm grading my student's term papers today and trying to get enough points in the book to at least pass everyone. WHEW! I'm pretty tired.
Now I have to give some serious thought to the holidays.
It's occurred to me that I really need to focus on holiday things.
I don't really have much to say, so I'm not going to force it.
