(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going! New Jersey is Beautiful!
Well, OK, maybe Newark Liberty is not the prettiest. Maybe the initial drive with the traffic is no picnic.
But as I pulled into my town, I noticed the beautiful lawns and the varied trees, shrubs, and flowers. It seems that my flower beds grew so much in the week that I was gone.
My cats are the kind you could hug and cuddle, not the wild Key Largo kind that you really shouldn't pick up.
I have what some might consider...

My friend Doreen was traveling for business in Boston, and we spent a couple hours on the phone chatting while I ate my Dominos Pizza on the balcony. Doreen and I have had most of our friendship by cell phone...two busy women who catch up while driving from here to there or staying someplace far from home. She commented on how brave I was to plan my first whole week solo trip to someplace so unfamiliar. (Disney solo trips don't count because I know the place so well.) I felt proud of myself...like...

I took another Kayak trip today.
First off, if you stay at Dove Creek Lodge, and you decide to Kayak, bring a towel to cover your legs. Don't trust sunscreen! (OUCH!)
Yesterday I turned right and saw wilderness and Mangroves. It was like being in no-man's land. It was mysterious, beautiful, and very much untouched by human influence.
Today I turned left, and it was a WHOLE DIFFERENT adventure.
First off, I paddled past Snapper's while the live...

One of my favorite things to do is people watch. It is like the ultimate performance art! People are just fascinating. When God created Adam and Eve, he must have said "Let's create an infinite number of possibilities and variables so I'll never be bored or lonely again!" (Hope that didn't cross the no-religion guideline! )
A group of 20-somethings are here and, of course, since 20-somethings own the world, they've been bringing glass beer bottles to the pool, driving when...

Had a relaxing Kayak trip in the creek. Dove Creek Lodge has a bunch that you can use free whenever you like. I only saw two other people briefly during my Karak trip.
I saw a bunch of Mangroves.
Mangroves start with a trunk, then they start to project these wierd branch/roots toward the water. Eventually, the projections reach water and finally grow down enough to anchor into the floor of the creek. It is wierd...
