We did Universal and Sea World and of course I had to get an Illuminations Cruise in!!! We did so much can't wait to go back!! Now of course thinking of next year! Does anyone know of a good place for a hotel on the beach for 3 or 4 days? thanks! |

| Glad to hear you had fun. We went in Aug 05 and stayed at a hotel across the street from Sea World, got the Sea World/Busch Garden ticket with free transp. to Busch, and a 3 day Univerdal pass. It was great. If you are looking for beaches near Orlando check out Coco Beach on Expedia or another travel site. There seems to be alot of hotels. I am looking for an over night in Aug. ( in Coco Beach) to go to the Space Centre before we go to WDW.

| I looked on Expedia for Beachfront. In Tampa I couldn't see much other than Sailport Waterfront Suites, on a beach on Tampa Bay. The Gulf Coast has much more. St. Petersberg has quite a few beachfront hotels St. Pete Beach Travelodge; Alden Beach Resort, Tradewinds Sandpiper Hotel, etc. I don't think St. Pete is too far from Busch Gardens, and has nice beaches.

| Go on Travelocity.com or Expedia.com they have lots of listings and say if it's close to Busch Gardens but be careful and book with a reputable hotel there. Busch Gardens isn't in the best part of town. Sometimes I use the internet to find a hotel and then call them direct, occas. the hotel direct has better prices.

| There's lots to choose from on the Gulf coast from St. Pete's Beach to Clearwater. The drive from St. Pete's is 40 mins. give or take depending on traffic. The beaches up near Clearwater are a little closer. If you want something a little upscale, try the Don Ce Sar on St. Pete's Beach, it's been featured on Great Hotels w/Samantha Brown on the Travel Channel. The Tradewinds complex on St. Pete's is also nice.
