| Sharks underwater grill Good morning! My hubby is bound and determined to do this when we head down in November. My question is, how is this for a 3 year old? She's going to want to get up and look around. Is that going to be ok? Thanks!!

| We tried it out a few weeks ago. The food is definitely towards market style cuisine. The set up inside has tables along the tank windows and then raised seating towards the back. You might ask for a tank directly by the window, as traffic from other guests and waitstaff might make it difficult for your daughter to get up and look. We were seated off to the very right side of the restaurant- it was very dark in there and we had half the view that the main dining room did. When we go back, I am going to request a seat in the main dining room. All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience for us, especially the kids. You can see the Sharks Deep Dive program being done as the cages make their way across and back. Be sure to look for the "crooked" shark- he's a sand tiger who has severe scoliosis. Really interesting. Have fun!

| We were there in 2004 and enjoyed it. We had a little on in the party and she enjoyed watching the fish swim by in the giant aquarium. The food was also very good |

| My hubby and I love Shark's and eat there whenever we visit the park. Yes, the "grown-up" cuisine is definitely up-scale, and very tasty. Be sure to stop at the bar on your way out of the restaurant. The entire top of the bar is a giant, shallow fish tank, and your little one will love being able to get her little nose right down to the glass to see the shrimp & clownfish (Heck, I'm going to be 34, and I still like getting my nose down to the glass to see them). There is a kids' menu with mac & cheese, chicken fingers, and other kids' fare. The kids' drinks come in a nifty foam shark cup-holder that you get to take home with you (I'm always jealous of those). If you're worried about being at one of the tables near the tank, be sure to make reservations when you come into the park. In my experience, people with reservations are usually seated at the tables near the front, while walk-ups usually get booths further back. The view from both is usually good; the booths are horse-shoe shaped and face the tank. Tables are closer to the tank, but do not face it. There is also a walkway in front of the tables for viewing. Feeding is usually done on Mondays, so you can catch quite a show if you eat early on Monday. :-) Hope that helps! |
