| I haven't stayed there, but I'll be interested in hearing about your trip... We're planning on going to Sea World and Aquatica in August.

| I'd love to hear what you think of Aquatica as well.

| I just did Aquatica today, should have 200 or so pics up tomorrow - it was FUN! Cold, I didn't end up doing anything really but taking the photos.

| In my humble opinion Disney wins when it comes to water parks. From what you see on the website and in written descriptions I expected much more from Aquatica. The lines were long for short rides. The wave pool was a joke in comparison to Typhoon Lagoon. I was annoyed to have my deposit for a locker refunded in the form of a spendable coupon good only that day. The only thing we found to buy for that amount of money on the way out was popcorn that we didn't even want. The food in the park was ok. The one thing that we really did enjoy was the rapid river ride (no tubes) just you being carried along by the water. The fish on the tube river was a glorified fish tank you could glance at on the way by easy to miss if the mass of tubes took you the long way around. This would be a good place for little kids though, many kid play areas and the wave pool was rather tame. I would not recommend it for the "wildlife" feel that is advertised. |

| We were at Aquatica in March and had a great day. I'm sure it does miss a lot of the bells and whistles that the Disney water parks have. Aquatica overall is a family oriented water park where everyone can play and have fun, there's not one slide that I wouldn't go down. If it's the thrills you're looking for, then this park might not be for you. I thought the food was as good as any counter service restaurant at WDW. Due it's newness, it was very clean. which was nice. While there's lots of chairs by the wave pools and some by the Walkabout Waters, you need to get there early to get one. They do have some private cabana rentals at $150/day (probably more during the summer). We did one and weren't disappointed. You can get all the details on their website but we did have 2 lounge chairs and a couple of beach style chairs. They're a little secluded. There's a fridge stocked with sodas and waters. We also ordered beers and had a place to keep them cold. There's a fan in the cabana. The lines we encountered weren't bad but it was a little overcast that day. A cast member told me they had reached park capacity (7,500) a couple of times during March and had to temporarily decline entry. The two lazy rivers are nice, one with tubes, one without which was a big hit with my kids. The dolphin slide was a disappointment. One quick run through with a 50/50 shot at seeing the dolphins. We did spend some time below at one of the viewing windows and got to see plenty. You do have to pay attention to grab a quick view of the tank you pass by in the one lazy river. That's it in terms of the tropical fish. That was disappointing, I thought there'd be more. The 2 wave pools did seem to be tame and tamer but that was o.k. for us. I found the layout of the park to be easy to navigate. I'm sure we'll do the Disney water parks at some point but for now Aquatica gets a good mark from us and we'll go back simply because my kids will go on everything.
