Nickelodeon Hotel?

Anyone stayed there? What can you tell me about it? How would it be for a 9 or 10 year old? Is one day enough time to "hang out on site" and get the advantage of the facilities for the price? Will the adults go crazy?
As a point of reference, here are some of the areas that give rise to our questions:
A lot of their promo materials show Dora the Explorer, and we're past that.
It's promoted as a "family suite" hotel, but we only have one child, so the suite concept isn't necessarily a plus.
We tend to use hotel rooms solely as a place to sleep and shower (yes - even at Disney). So the idea of "vacationing at the hotel" is rather foreign to us. It looks to be the approach here, but it's not our usual.

I spent six nights there with my 2 and we had a blast. It's not all about Dora. There's Spongebob, Patrick, The Fairly Oddparents, Blue's Clues, etc.

One of the best character meals we've ever had was at the NickHotel with Spongebob & Patrick......we were one of the last seatings and they really "played" with my kids-Patrick was being a very bad starfish-he started a food fight with us and his handler was chasing after him yelling "come back here-you're being a very bad starfish today!"

Their water play area is phenomenal-I do regret not being able to spend more time there. If I can ever be convinced to take a Disney Cruise (I'm just too claustrophobic) I told the kids we'd stay here again.

It was nice for me because I had my own bedroom (with queen bed) and they had a room with twins. I just wish there were 2 bathrooms-getting showered at night before bed (since it was so hot) was a bit of an issue but no bother-we were going to the Disney parks.

The only drawback is the shuttle service-they don't run as frequently during the day/evening as I would have liked-if you missed the last shuttle (that at that time was about 8PM) you were SOL. You also had to make "reservations" the night before which I found annoying-on Disney property you just hop on the bus!!

It's a great place to stay-don't get me wrong. Just after staying in the Disney "bubble" it's hard to imagine going "elsewhere" again.

Thanks. Other opinions welcome!
We'd probably stay there before or after our Disney stay but maybe use the shuttle for SW or US.
