Question Discovery Cove???

I was thinking about coming here on our trip next year. We will be traveling with our sons ages 2,5,8,11 & 13 at the time of travel.

The 2 & 5 year olds I think cannot do the dolphin swim- right??

Is it worth it to go there and not do the dolphin swim?? I would never do it and leave them behind - my 5 year old would go NUTS cause he loves Dolphins. Trying to decide if maybe we should skip it and go back in several years when everyone can join in.

The dolphin swim is the most incredible part of the whole park!!! A lot of places that allow you to interact with the dolphins only include standing in water up to your waist, and touching them, but at Discovery Cove you get to actually swim with them, and it's amazing. So amazing that I did it twice!

We had the same problem when our youngest was too young to enjoy the dolphin swim. It would have been miserable to do the dolphin swim without him.

I can tell you that we thought it was worth the wait!

You're right about the two youngest not being able to do the dolphin swim. You have to be six years or older to take part. We went with the family in December and our nephew was only three and couldn't take part. Fortunately, his grandma was able to look after him during the swim and they were very good and allowed him to be brought into the water to pose for family photos with the rest of us and the dolphins. Since then, his parents have said they will go back when he can take part.
