| Hi everyone! My boyfriend and i are getting some much needed time away by taking just a few days to get to Orlando. We fly in from Atlantic City in April on a Friday at 8:40 pm and leave on Tuesday at 9:30 am We are staying at the Monumental Hotel (used to be the Crowne Plaza) can anyone tell me anything about it? all the reviews on tripadvisor looked great, plus the photos are beautiful. We should probably rent a car, but here is my plan. I have two tickets for SeaWorld/Aquatica (I'm studying to be a scientist of Zoology so very excited about SeaWorld) which we would probably do on the first day and then we think we'd also like to spend a full day at either Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure. Can you give me an idea of which you would choose and why? I'm just looking for opinions here. I know its ambitious, but we have two full days and both parks close by 8pm, so its not like it would be 24 hours at both places each day. Any advice for me would be greatly appreciated!! |

| I've toured the Worldmark Kingstown Reef timeshare resort that is right next to the Monumental Hotel. The pastel buildings were kept up nice and the grounds/pools were pretty. It's a nice area - Sheraton Vistana Villages is across the street. If you don't rent a car, check out the I-Ride trolley that stops all along that area you are staying in. I'm pretty sure the I-Ride trolley goes to Seaworld. Now, Universal Studios - I don't know, you may have to take a cab or maybe your hotel provides a shuttle? | I don't know which Universal park I'd choose, I love things in both! If you like thrill rides, maybe I of A would be best. They have the Hulk. Unfortunatley Dueling Dragons is temp closing. Check park updates for when. The I Trolley does go to Sea World, but if you're not on the main line, but the green? line, it can be a 30 min wait. Very slow. We missed a hotel shuttle so took the I trolley back to our Hotel( the Doubletree), and about 5 or 6 main line trollies came before ours did. The I Trolley goes near Universal, we stayed at the Hilton Doubletree, walking distance to Universal & there is an I Trolley (green line) stop on the corner.
