| Hi, This is such a great forum and thanks everyone for all the great answers! I am going to Aquatica but can't swim. I've gone to other water parks before and can do lazy rivers, rapids, flumes, slides that don't plunge into water and stuff like that. Do you think I'll have enough to do? If I do want to go on the kind of ride that plunges into a pool can I just use a life vest? Thanks! |

| I know the fast moving lazy river has life vests. Many people, incl. me use them cause there are no tubes allowed, & it makes it easier to float! There are some slides you go down in a tube. If I remember correctly, most of the slide pools you end up in you can stand up in, they wouldn't be over your head. Not sure if life vests are allowed on all the slides or not, but I think there would be enough for you to do. I could spend the entire day on the fast lazy river & wave pool! They also have those mat slides, no pool.

| I think you'll have fun. As Sue M. said, the slides empty into poosl that you can stand up in. One of the lazy rivers is one you float in, the other you walk/swim through. I'd check out their website or call them regarding the vests. At Adventure Island in Tampa, the other Busch Entertainment water park in Florida, vests are allowed in the wave pool and in the lazy river as well as required for guests under certain heights on the slides. I would think it'd be the same for Aquatica. There's also the great play area with the dump buckets etc.

| When you go there, go early & grab lounges on the beach, esp. if you want an umbrella. Banana Cabana cook out has an all you can eat, all day. So if you plan to be there all day, it's worth it. They give you a wrist band. They have breakie stuff first thing, coffee, muffins, fruit, pastry. Then the rest of the day, burgers, hot dogs, salads, etc. and fountain drinks. Basic stuff.

| I'm not a strong swimmer, the other half is, but we both loved Aquatica last year (even with the third-degree burns I got from the sun, and the queues as it was the week after it opened!) The floaty-jacket things are great for the lazy river - even the other-half used it so he don't need to think about swimming - and loads of people took them into the wave-pools (there are two - of differing depths depending on your height and comfort level with the waves!) The slides are great, but the ones where you get onto a floaty-tube with someone else... if you go in front - beware. You can do yourself some real damage if you land awkwardly! Sorry for rambling |

| My husband is not a great swimmer. He will NOT go under the water. That being said, we had a blast!
