Titanic Experience

Hi

I was just wondering if anyone had been to the exhibition on I Drive and what your opinions were? Also, where would be the best place to purchase tickets. Are there any offers/discount tickets?

Thanks for any info!

My family and I went to see it during our Aug. 2006 WDW trip. For the most part we enjoyed it. Found it fun how the actors stayed in character the whole time while you take the tour. We had a woman who was portraying the unsinkable Molly Brown and she was great in character. I remember her asking all of us who were in t-shirts and shorts why we were in our swimsuits. LOL! And then she asked me what was that gadget I was using. (My digital camera) She asked me if it's some newfangled thing from Japan that I got. LOL! They had recreations of the Grand Staircase, a first class room, steerage and some other parts of the ship. They had some artifacts on display and even replicated that "fateful" night with a scene having you standing "onboard the ship" in the chilly nighttime air and allowed you to touch the massive cold"iceberg" for an extra effect. I think there were some costumes from the Titanic movie with Kate Winslet & Leonardo DiCaprio too. Also a section on expeditions from the wreckage site.

I'm sure some of the tour has changed since we last went. But overall it was interesting. I can't remember how much we paid for the tickets. We just purchased them at the place. But go online and check out the website Home | Titanic The Experience for more info.

Thank you Jodi. I really like the sound of it and my oldest DD especially is into all things Titanic at the moment. She will be 10 when we go so it might be something we could do together. I don't think my youngest would appreciate it so I may just get tickets for myself and Grace. I know she would especially love to see the costumes. We have a small exhibit running near us at the moment. Grace went with school earlier this week and she loved it. They also had a dress from the movie (the red one Kate Winslet is wearing when she first meets Leo as she is planning to jump). G was very impressed with that. Hopefully I may get time to view the exhibit too. Its only on for a short time to coincide with the anniversary and as a reminder of our local links to the ship. (Thomas Ismay of White Star Line was born in the next town from us and still has descendants living there).

$40

Not sure if you have went to this exhibit yet as this post isn't completely new, but when we went to check out the Titanic show they do each tour at the top of each hour and the price they quoted us was $40 per person. It was still 40 minutes away from the next tour starting but at $40 per person I wouldn't have stayed anyway.

They have a building right next door to it that is a C.S.I experience too. Not sure if your kids would like that. But I don't know how much that is we didn't even go in there.
