Re: Adventuring in 10/05 (October 2005)

O Wow!!! Looks like quite a few of us will be in the World this October. We will be there Ocotber 29th - November 4th. This will be our 3rd time in 3 years. I think my DH is really getting tired of it. The most fun is to see our DD,who will turn 5 on this trip, experience everything for the "first time" again. This year she will be able to ride more of the "thrill" rides now that she broke the 40" mark. As I said before we will be there for her 5th birthday and I have planned many little suprises for her. Any suggestions are welcome as I want this to be her best birthday ever! It is only going to be the 3 of us, Me (4th adventure) DH (belive it or not he has been there 5x once in high school with his marching band and once in college with the marching band for the orange bowl) and DD Princess Lillian Rose (3x so far, 2002,2003,2004)
We will be staying off property at the Sheraton Vistana Resort as I cannot get DH to spend the extra to stay on property.
We will be attending the NSSHP on the 30th and we still haven't decided on our costumes I am new to the passporter community so no meetings have been arranged but I am going to visit a girlfriend of mine who has just survived breast cancer.
Sorry I am a little long winded but I am just too excited.

Mark
We will be on the lookout for you. Like I said before we haven't decided on our costumes yet, I think I am waiting on some great idea to smack me in the face and I have only 25 more days to get ready!?!?! Also on another exciting note (at least to me) you were my first reply on the message borad ever. Ok a little dramatic but none-the-less exciting to me. See you there.

Re: Adventuring in 10/05 (October 2005)

I finally have all my plans in order, I think.
On 10/29 Epcot
We arrive in Orlando @ 9:40 and we have AR at Akershus 11:40 for Lillys 5th Birthday. We will then spend the rest of the day at Epcot and the Food and Wine Fest and trying to find a place to watch the Ohio State football game. I guess at some point in time we will take a break and check-in to our condo but no hurry.
10/30 NSSHP
If it is warm enough we will spend most of the day at the pool and relaxing until the NSSHP. I think Lilly is going to be a little princess. She was the flower girl for my brother-in-law in August and she has a very ornate mini-brides dress. I figure we spent too much money on it just to wear it once. DH and I will problaby wear lame halloween t-shirts from Old Navy.
10/31 MGM
This should be a light day for us but there are 4 or 5 things I really want us to see. Especially Lights, Motors, Action!, Stars and Motor Cars Parade and Fantasmic!. Oddly enought we have never seen the parade or Fantasmic. We have AR for Sci-Fi @ 2:00pm
11/1 Magic Kingdom
We are really excited to see the Magic Kingdom transformed for the 50th Celebration. We are going to take our time here as we will be back on Friday and maybe another day to see everything we want. We have AR @ 2:00 for the Garden Grill in Epcot. Lilly loves to ride the Monomail so we will take that over for lunch.
11/2 & 11/3 One of these days we are going over to Cocoa Beach to visit my good friend who just survived a bout with breast cancer. I haven't seen her for about a year so we will cook out and enjoy the beach in the fall. The other day we will do Animal Kingdom and then Epcot in the evening.
11/4 Magic Kingdom
This is our last day. Again we will take our time and do whatever Lilly wants to do before we go back to real life. We have AR for Tonys on the town square @ 2:30. I am hoping it is nice weather and we sit outside. From there we should be able to watch the 3:00 parade go by. Our plane leaves Orlando @ 9:00pm so we will be getting in quite late .
I think I have everything in order and all we have left to do is pack. If you feel I have forgotten something let me know I always love Disney ideas

Re: Adventuring in 10/05 (October 2005)

Some fun reading of first hand NSSHP attendees is on allearsnet.com Go to search and put in "Not So Scarry" and they have 2005 reports. All the charater meet and greet, trick-or-treeting stations, and parade. Also if you go to Magicalmountain.net scroll down and you can watch the fireworks "Hallowishes". Just a litte fyi
