Destination: Walt Disney World
Date: November 7th through November 16th
Adventurers: Myself, 39 yrs old - this will be my 3rd time; DH, 49 yrs old - this will be his first time as well as his first EVER vacation; DD, 13 yrs old this will be her 4th time
Resort/Hotel: Wilderness Lodge
Celebration: We will be celebrating our 1st Year Anniversary and Kassie's (DD) 14th Birthday on November 12th
Meetings: We are going to eat and DRINK our way around the world and do as much as possible.

Sam is having a hard time understanding how Disney World is any different than any other amusement park. He pretty much rolls his eyes when I talk about Disney, but he did finally admit to me about a week ago that he's a tiny bit excited about our trip.

He's never been on a real vacation and spending all the money is also mind-bending to him. He says "Can't I just take a week off of work and we can relax?" This says to me "Can't I take a week off of work so I can play games on the computer all day, while you cook, clean and run the business?" LOL No vacation for me by any stretch of the imagination. Shoot, I don't even get weekends off, like he does. I NEED this vacation terribly bad. Because he's never had a truly relaxing vacation he doesn't understand how mentally relaxing this will be for him as well.

Plus this will be a good time for our newer combined family to bond with each other.

Destination: WDW, Disney Wonder, WDW (again!)
Date: 11/10-20, on the Wonder from 11/13-17
Adventurers: Me (will be turning 41, 17yo DD, 9yo DD, and 7yo DD)
Resort/Hotel: Looking at CB for 17yo, that was where we stayed on her first trip in 1993
Celebration: Mainly as an 18th b-day/grad gift to DD, but also to celebrate my 41st b-day. We are having a Mom Day, Megan Day, Sarah Day, and Breeanna Day on the cruise (each person gets to choose something special for their "day"

It's still waaaaay too early for me to plan any other details at this point...I'll have to wait until January for that!

Since it is exactly one year away today I thought I'd post!

Destination: WDW/DCL!!!!!

Date: November 2, 2005 - November 10, 2005

Adventurers: DH (41 - but nobody tell I've been sworn to secrecy about his age - and they say women are vain.) Me (39 and proud of it!!!) DS #1 (11) DS #2 (5 almost six). First time to WDW for all of us! as DS #1 says "Everyone has been to Disney but me".

Resort: POLYNESIAN (can you tell I'm excited)!!! 4 beautiful nights and then DCL for 4 more beautiful nights!!!

Celebration: FOUR LONG YEARS OF NURSING SCHOOL - Graduate in December, 2004 and Passing of my boards (please send me pixie dust for this!!)!!!! First big family vacation other than Cape Cod (we go every year) since I began nursing school.

We are FIRM on these dates we booked in August.
Anyone with kids the same ages as mine? Let me know.

Resort/Hotel: Pop Century - first time on property
Celebration: DD's first trip to Disney World
Meetings: All over the place - I bought each of us - Guest of Honor Badges

Updated: Some people have dropped out of this trip due to pregnancy (not me though thank God 4 is enough!)

Date: 11/5/05 - 11/13/05
Adventurers: Me (Stacey) 8th trip, DH (Jimmy) 5th trip, DD Erin age 15, DD Shannon age 7, DD Katie age 4, DD Molly age 1, DM & DF, DMIL & DFIL, DB & DSIL (cancelled due to pregnancy), DS & DBIL, DN - 1yo (cancelled due to buying a summer trailer at the Jersey shore), DA, DC & DCH, DC 3 yo & DC 1 yo (cancelled due to pregnancy), DA and three friends. Yes there will be 25 of us all together now there are 13 of us.
Resort/Hotel: Port Orleans Riverside
Celebration: Erin's 16th Birthday on November 10, Katie's 5th Birthday on November 7 and Molly's 2nd Birthday on November 12 and because we want to!!!
Meetings: Too early to make any other plans but on their birthdays you will recognize my girls because they will be wearing Birthday Princess shirts! (yes, even the 16 yo wants to wear one!)

Resort - We are DVC members - place yet to be determined
Celebration - 20th Wedding Anniversary *On our honeymoon we cruised on the "Big Red Boat" which at that time had Disney characters and theme and then spent four days at WDW.
That was my first time flying, cruising and at WDW. Have been there approxiametly 15 times since and look forward to our next visit.

Resort/Hotel: Hopefully we'll arrive around noon on the 26th. We plan to stay at All Star Sports that day with no park tickets. We'll have to be up early that morning to get to the airport then have a 2 1/2 hour flight and we'll just want to hang around the resort for a bit, maybe get some swimming in and go on a tour of the monorail resorts. I've got a train nut who can't wait to ride the monorails!
Celebration: I've wanted to take my kids to WDW ever since my son was born. I waited and waited for dh to agree to go but it never happened so when I started working part time last fall I decided we were going without him. Most of my paycheck goes into a special savings account the kids and I set up to pay for the trip and we'll have a great time without Grumpy! Since my ds has a summer birthday and gets to do all kinds of neat outdoors things and dd doesn't since it's usually pretty cold here by the time her birthday comes around and it always seems to me she kind of gets shortchanged because of her birthday being so close to Christmas I decided we'd go for her birthday. My ds is fine with the fact that his sister may get some extra special attention on the trip and in fact he's helping me pull off a couple of surprises for her, like helping me figure out how to get her to take her winter coat and gloves to dinner at Chef Mickey's the night of her birthday without asking too many questions! I'm planning to give her tickets to MVMCP that night at dinner but she's going to think we did our one park for the day when we go to AK in the morning.
Meetings: We'll be at MVMCP Nov. 27th. I'll be the mom walking around with a little girl with a Birthday pin on bouncing like Tigger through the whole park and the boy with a baseball cap on trying to pretend like he's really too cool for all of this but the huge smile will give him away. <g> I'll be the one with tears in her eyes.
