Question How do you store Cricut cartridges

I have tons of cartridges I bought those clear storage cases. I'm having trouble deciding just how to box them up. I did put all Disney in one, & creative memories in another. That is as far as I got.

All of mine are loaded onto my Gypsy, and I use them from there. The original cartridges and the books I keep in ArtBin's cartridge storage cases - I have three! They are divided into Fonts and Non-Fonts at the moment, but that might change, as I finally realized that some of the "non-font" ones do have fonts! I may just go with pure alphabetical, since that's the way they show up on the Gypsy.

I have a friend who keeps hers in a SnapLock ribbon container. She took the rod out of the ribbon section, then used plastic canvas to make a grid that would allow her to stand the cartridges upright in the container. There are three columns, and I cannot remember how many sections in each. She keeps the books in the bottom section of the container. This holds quite a few, and is very compact.

I have mine organized in the snaplock containers as well - alphabetically!! They work great that way - and take up little space compared to the 40+ cartridge boxes!

I started off with a Jukebox, then moved on to I think the SnapLock boxes, but I quickly outgrew them. I love, love my green & pink polka dot cartridge tote, just like this one: Amazon.com: CGull Cricut Cartridge Tote - Green / Pink Canvas: Home & Kitchen . I carry my E2 in the matching rolling tote, and they are darling.

Sad to say, I only have about 6 slots left...in my defense, I bought nearly all of them fairly cheaply on eBay, through on-line sellers, or a few at stores on sale. But at least having very little space left means I'm very, very picky about getting any more. Shortly I'll need to get rid of some any time I wanted to get another! (As you can see, I love my toys! But I never got into the Gypsy).

Well I have the Gspy & hardly ever use it. I also have the tote out grew it. I also have the snap ribbon cases didn't like them after I bought them from EBAY. I think I like the clear cases the best. Just don't know if I should go ABC or do all fonts together, shapes ect.

Thanks for your answers I have already slept on it for three days I mean nights.

I am the worst for ogranazation . I need a twelve step program to help me

It took me a long time to make friends with my Gypsy. Then I found out that I can meld the letters together to "write" titles, etc. REALLY like it now!

I do the Snaploc ribbon box with the plastic mesh dividers. It takes two boxes to hold the books and keypads. And I'm out of space.
I keep them alphabetically. Otherwise it was too hard -- some cartridges have images and fonts, some are licensed but not Disney... and if a case held 6 but only 5 fit the category I was wasting space...

I store the cartridges alphabetically. I tried other systems (Disney & other favorites on one side, everything else on the other), but they were pretty ad hoc and didn't last. Since I bought the E2, I don't carry the keyboard overlays around any more. If I can just get it to talk to Cricut Craft Room, I might not need the books, either!

Maybe if I update the software...but updating my old baby Cricut actually fried the whole thing and left it useless!

I use these Artbin storage containers, which I've found at AC Moore and Michaels. Mine are all alphabetical. Amazon.com: ArtBin Super Satchel Cartridge & Tool Storage: Arts, Crafts & Sewing

Sharon, Have you watched the video tutorial for the E2 at cricut.com? That gave me pretty much everything I needed to know.

At Above Rubies Studio, Megan Elizabeth has a series of videos showing how to use the E2; this is the first one: E2 | Above Rubies Studio . She does lots of instructional videos on various projects, so I highly recommend this site to anyone.

Good luck, Sharon; you'll really love this machine once you get to know it!
