See you all in September!

Hello Everyone...

We will be going on the Wonder on Sept 7th...it will be our first cruise as well! I love Disney so I am very excited about the opportunity to add this to our Disney World trip. My step daughter from England (21 and 13) will be joining us as well as our 3 children (two boys 10 and 7) and daughter 4. Also abroad will be my cousin and her family and neighbors and their family.

Welcome on board. I am so looking forward to this cruise. Whereabouts in England do your stepdaughters live? We currently live in Manchester, but have lived pretty much all over England.

Hello Dolphin Girl...its mommywithacamera...but I forgot my password and couldn't access my email address...so now I'm Aggie Mom of three. My step-daughters live in Swindon. The oldest just moved to a tourist town that starts with a B...but can't remember the name of it. Are you originally from England? We are so excited about the cruise! Can't wait to see you guys on board.

The only tourist town that I can think of near Swindon is Bath (old Roman town). I am originally from Germany, but I am married to an Englishman and have lived in the UK for the past 12 years and consider this very much home. I just realized in horror a few weeks back that I have not been in Germany since Christmas 2004/ New Year 2005. As I had some lieu days to take that expire next month, I decided to use them for a long weekend next week to see my family in Germany.
If it is Bath, then I know it fairly well. When I first came to England my then boyfriend did maternity cover in Bath for about 6 months and I went down to visit him every time I had my days off during the week.

Hi Dolphin Girl,

I found out she works in Boremoth, close to Poole. Doesn't mean much to me but I believe it is my the English Channel. I have heard that non-citizens of the US have to meet to go thru customs around 6:30 am on the last day. Have you heard or read anything about that?

I have been to Bournemouth only once. My DH used to live near there before I met him.
I don't think they do the customs meetings anymore. Non-citizens no longer have to hand in there passports either. I think the only place where there is still a customs meeting is at St. Thomas on the Eastern Caribbean itinerary and that is for everybody.

Hi Dolphingirl...what a small world. Thanks for the info on customs...my DH will be glad not to have to have the girls up so early on the last day.

Hi Tinkerbell...saw your post on the pirate question. So excited we will all be dressed up on the same cruise. My DS is also ten...they will probably meet at the kids club.

Hey guys...It is almost time!!!!
Just wanted to pass along a bit of info...
My family had not planned on going to go see Atlantis due to the cost, however last night I checked the Comfort Suites rates and they have come down to $112(AAA rate). WOW! So now the 3 of us can visit Atlantis including the aquarium, pools and water park for less than the price of one person($150) through Disney! Yay!!!!!
We are SOOO excited!

Maddies mom, that is GREAT!!! Sounds like you guys will have a great time.

RN mom, don't give up hope. Find out where to go on the ship to make reservations for Palo and go there first thing to get in line. If for some reason they are full after you get there then stop by Palo's itself and speak w/ the manager. I am sure they will sprinkle some Disney Pixie Dust your way....especially when they find out it is your anniversary.

RNMOM, I have a Palo reservation on Night 3 for 6:00 PM. I am hoping to change it to a brunch if I can get one as soon we get on the ship. If I can not get a brunch, I was just going to cancel it because, my husband it not to excited to wear a tie, etc. So you can have my ressie if I can not swap to brunch. That is if they will do that.
