11/14/2009 - Magic Western Double Dip

Myself (39 when we cruise), DH (39 when we cruise) and DS (7 when we cruise) booked this cruise when we were on the Magic in November of 2007. We loved our first Disney cruise so much, we just had to do it again! We decided to book a Category 7 Navigator's Veranda room this time, we were in Category 9 last time. IWe talked it up Disney cruises so much that now my in-laws want to come, so they are booked too. MIL and FIL are booked in a Category 7 as well. Is anyone else on this cruise with us? I am so excited about the two stops at Castaway Cay, as is DS! DH is excited about the verandah!

I have not been checking, I didn't realize anyone else ever posted to this thread! Sorry I missed your post. Congrats on booking your first ever cruise -you won't regret doing it on DCL! Our first cruise was Norweigan for our honeymoon and while it was nice, I really had no desire to go again. Then we took our son on DCL last year and it was amazing. I'd only ever want to cruise Disney now. DS still talks about Castaway Cay and other things we did so I'm really looking forward to this cruise. I can't believe we are less than a year away now!!

I am wondering about the weather in November.
Any ideas on what to expect? I am so hoping it is not cold!

My family is excited for the November Magic Double Dip. We took our first cruise in March of 2008 and we were unable to stop at Castaway Cay due to high winds. That is why we choose the double dip. We hope for better luck this time!

Hello,

Count us in. We booked while onboard in December 2007. We were originally booked in a Navigator's Verandah(Cat. 7), but in the meantime we added a passenger to our family and a Category 7 room only holds 3. So we are now in a Category 6 room. There will be me(33), DW(36), DD(7), and DS(10months). This will be our 3rd cruise, all Western iteneraries. We were never big fans of Key West, so what better replacement on the itenerary than Castaway Cay! I think the weather in November should be fine. We Cruised in early December and thought the weather was great. However we do come from a colder climate here in Pittsburgh.

Hey all, I haven't been checking, so I didn't realize there were several more passporters on this cruise now. We took our first Disney cruise in November of 07, and the weather was perfect. It was hot, but not overwhelmingly so. It was windy our Castaway Cay day, but not so bad that our stop got cancelled, atlhough the stingray excursions were cancelled. We did paddleboating in the afternoon and biked in the morning, plus the beach was paradise! Our son is hoping he will be better at swimming this time around and can actually swim out to the playground on the family beach. I'm hoping he won't since that thing terrifies me.

We'll be there! I booked so long ago, I don't even remember when (probably when the dates first opened). Travelling w/DH, DS (10), DS (8), DD (2) and inlaws. We have 2 cat 10 adjoining cabins. JUST added the inlaws, so this should be interesting. It's their first cruise (really 1st vacation other than visiting family in Greece) and the baby's 1st. The rest of us are verterans of several Eastern DCLs. I am beyond excited to double dip as that's one of the best parts of a Disney Cruise. We may not even get off the boat at other ports. LOL

PS-It's been so long since I've logged in, I had to reregister w/a new name. LOL

We can't wait for Nov 14! We are counting the days. It will be my husband, myself and son 13, daughter 10. We already have our airline tickets! We booked a hotel on cocoa beach for Friday night before we leave. We are in cat 5, deck 7! Our first cruise was May of 2008 and we just loved it so much that we book for Nov. 2009 before we left the ship. We are planning to spend the day Nov. 21 in downtown disney or boardwalk. We would like to see a couple of parks but decide we would go to WDW May 2010 since we were just there Dec. 2008. Hope to meet you guys there!

Our first cruise myself, DW,DD(6). We are DVC members. Booked cat 5 on Deck 7. Have booked shore excursionsolphin Swim in Cozumel and Pirate Cruise in Grand Cayman. Booked DW cabana massage on 2nd stop at CC. Got a Palo dinner for the night in Cozumel. amazed how fast the brunch and tea disappeared. With the chnage in Castaway Club levels had hoped this would become easier for the next trip, but maybe not. Know that good offers are made for return cruised while still onboard. Hoping the timing works that we are aboard when the next DVC member cruise in opened.
