I wont be on the 3/27 sailing with you, but I wanted to say Congratulations! And Good Choice! We did this itenerary on the Magic in 6/08 and loved enough to go back for more. We'll be on the 1/23 sailing.

That's too bad that you guys won't be on the same cruise but thank you for the assurance that we've made the right choice. This will be our first cruise. Cancelled our first, we were suppose to go with 2 other families but they both cancelled so we cancelled too. This one, we decided to do on our own. It's more doable cause we don't have to fly with the 4 boys! hahahaha.
I looked at your website,I will be ordering!

Not flying with kids is a major plus for me as well. Not only is it a pain, but it is so expensive! We have 4 kids so airfare to Florida is a small fortune. But even apart from that I really enjoyed the ports of call on the Mexican Riviera cruise. I can highly recommend the Dolphin Swim in Cabo San Lucas and the Outdoor Adventure in Puerto Vallarta. I might stay on board in Mazatlan this time though.

The 6/08 Mexican Riviera Cruise was our first cruise too. If you're interested for pre-planning purposes, I have a trip report here: Our First Ever Real Vacation, Mexican Riviera Cruise June 1-8, 2008

And thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it

Mexican Riviera cruise info

Although we are not planning on taking this cruise, we did sail Disney Magic 6/08 on the same (?) itinerary - Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta - and had a wonderful time!

The weather should be distinctly different for your cruise, but pleasant just the same. We did a snorkeling excursion and some shore shopping in Cabo, a city tour in Mazatlan, and zip lining in the mountains at Puerto Vallarta (not for the weak 'cause you have to hike the hills to reach the lines!), which was our favorite excursion. The menus and parties were just like in the Caribbean, even down to the Pirates party on Thursday night. Golden Mickeys, Twice Charmed, etc., but since you will be on the wonder I am sure there will be differences.

Have a great time and if you have any port or excursion questions, please let me know!

P.S. There is a WalMart just across the street from the pier in Puerto Vallarta, for those who REALLY need a fix!

I went on the Wonder in 5/09 and I loved it. While not the magical encounters you read about, our servers and room attendant were compentent and friendly. I actually preferred the style of Tritans and Route 66 to Lumiere's and Beat Street on the Magic. I didn't have kids with me though so I can't say anything about the kids area.

The weather in March can be a mixed bag, but it could be beautiful just as easily and stormy. Even in June, when we went last time, the weather was beautiful for us, but I read it was colder the next week. Regardless, I think you'll have a great time!
