Hosting a Disney Cruise Party About This Page:

I am so excited that I was chosen to host a Disney Cruise Party on Nov. 14. This is the first time I have done anything like this and I was wondering if someone could give me some hints for the party. There will be 2000 parties across the U.S. on that day

I was chosen too. I don't have a clue what to do. I'm excited and nervous at the same time.

I was choosen too. I am going to try to plan my party before we leave for WDW in less than 2 weeks.

I was chosen also! I am so excited! The only thing is now, I cannot remember what I said in the appplication that I would do for my party. Well, I can't remember all of it. I had some great ideas that particular night, filled out the application, and there they went .
How many people are you inviting? The site said 10+, but I'm not sure how many goodies they'll send and I don't want things to be uneven, but do want to send my invites asap ...

We should do a joint TR and all put in our input and pics from our parties....any takers??? We can support each other and bounce ideas off each other.... esp. since Sandy N has done it before and has been so nice in giving us hints and moral support... Thanks Sandy....

Thanks for the compliment Orionchika. I am happy to add to a group report. I have posted some of my fav pictures on houseparty!

I did confirm directly with Disney everyone will get 10 brochures (and I am told they are new and even available for us yet with the info) and 1 DVD plus other goodies.

We are working on our music CD this weekend and happy to share our playlist with whoever wants it

I am a combination of excited & anxious. I have a lot of housecleaning to do! Geesh.
So, does the "10" number mean I should aim to have 10 guests, or rather 10 families total? What about "goodies"?
I guess what I'm asking is how many people/families should I invite?

I am going to answer but apologize up front for being wishy-washy. It is your party so go with your comfort level and your theme. Some people are making it a family party and others a ladies night; some are restricted by house size and others by budget. Personally unless you are sure everyone is available and you don't want to end up with to few people I would invite 12-14 (whatever - families, couples, ladies) and hope to end up with 10.

Cool, thanks. My only real concern is that if I'm giving something away, I don't want to have too few goodies for too many guests. I feel like I need to send out my invites asap, probably before I receive the package w/ the party stuff, right? I want to give plenty of notice.
