| Any DSLR sales next week? I have a friend on another board who is looking to buy an entry level DSLR and wants to know of any sales that might be going on next week. I believe he's looking for something in the sub-$1000 range for a basic kit (body+lens+memory). Something like a Canon Rebel XTi or Nikon D80 would probably work for him. I have advised him to check the circulars this weekend for next weekend's sales from all of the local places (Ritz, Circuit City, Best Buy, Staples, Office Depot, even WalMart). Anyone know of any other sales or specials that might fit his bill? |

| Will I have been keeping track of the After Thanksgiving Sales on a website that has been posting the ads for the Sales on Friday. I believe Best Buy has the Canon Rebel XT on sale. (it has 8 MP compared to 10 on the XTI) Costco has a kit (if your a member) for about $900ish right now with 2 lens' etc. the website i have looked on for the after T-Giving sales is Black Friday 2007 Thanksgiving Day Black Friday Ads at Black-Friday.net But his best bet is to make sure he knows which he wants and to shop around.

| We got ours a year ago at B&H (Rebel XT) and it was the best price around then  I'd highly recommend them

| The Pentax K10D has a $100 rebate right now; $749 with lens, memory card and body, then take off another $100. The camera is amazing; we love it! And it takes all Pentax lenses, not just specialized ones... you can pick up used Pentax lenses inexpensively all sorts of places (or in our case, we had several already from our SLR).
