tripods

Does anyone have experience with the newer flexible tripods that can wrap around a pole, tree branch etc?? I am considering one of this type because they would be easier to carry/pack. Any pro/con issues are welcome! Thanks. Sara

i love my Gorilla pod!! I'm really new to it, and I haven't used it as much as I'd like, but it is amazing! My family used mine to record my college graduation. They just wrapped it around the hand railing (long story, but their seats were at the top with the railing right in front of them), and pressed the button. worked like a charm! Other than that though, I don't have much experience with it. I do know that I love it!

I don't have one yet, but I'm going to get one for our trip. I have tremors and at times my hands shake so much that I can't get anywhere close to a clear photograph. This could be a real find!!
