| Smugmug and upload times I am using the free trial of Smugmug. After the free trial I am thinking of paying for the Power User account as I have a lot of photos and I think some of the benefits will be there for me. But my question is that I have been uploading photos for 2 days now and it seems to be taking forever. I have high speed Internet (DSL) and usually uploads to sites such as photobucket take less then 20 minutes for the amount of uploading I am doing. Does Smugmug always take a long time? Example: roughly 6 hours for about 300 photos? Am I not doing something right?

| three hundred at one time? I'd assume that'd take a while mine goes really fast, though... I can normally upload one hundred plus in a couple of hours (though it estimates a way longer time) though I don't like to upload that many all at once, normally, but that's because my computer freezes up (too much junk, not enough memory, on this thing!)

| Thanks Toni! I cleaned up my hard drive hadn't done that in a while but once I did it went a bit faster. I also did smaller uploads and that helped too! Thanks for the help!

| i have a pro account... i've seen uploads go right quick, i've seen them take forever and a day.. the connection has mostly to do with it, then sometimes i really dunno... i also use send2smugmug which lets me send a folder at a time by right-clicking it in explorer. it's a 3rd party product that they endorse.

| yeah my connection sucks... but that's my fault, my poor laptop has really taken a beating in the last 5 years (and the monitor is acting like it's getting ready to die)
