Sooooo... most of you know that I'm trying to put together an application for an exhibit at the library. With the recent anxiety that I've had over DD's accident, I really immersed myself in my creative side, which has calmed me and helped me unravel the knot I've had in my stomach for the last week. I think I found all 6 of what I call my "POW" photos for the application. They look good, and they look very balanced when they are all together. Many of these you haven't seen, and I think it will surprise a lot of you to know that the one photo everyone seemed to have an emotional attachment to did not make the cut. It is a beautiful picture standing alone, but when I put it with the group, it just got lost, so I replaced it with another photo. ANYWAY. There are six pics. I'll post three here, and three in the next post They are in the same order that I'll present to the library committee.

Ready? Here we go. I'm actually nervous right now. I hope you like them as much as I do! But if you don't, please don't hesitate to tell me why. WHY is a very important question to me. Very near and dear to my heart for a critique, so please don't skip it. Thanks!!! Oh... PS. the name of the show will be "In the Garden" pretty simple.

I absolutely LOVE the Disneyland Rose-not only is the color eye-catching and vibrant, you've done a great job getting down to the bud of the flower.....the beginning of life so to speak as it spreads and blooms into the wonderful rose we see depicted.

The drops of dew on the petals of #3 #4 & #5 are breathtaking-like they're beckoning us to look at them, touch them, smell them as they are dripping with life.

I can just imagine a beautiful bumble bee swarming to the center of #5 and buzzing about happily-it's gorgeous!!

Amy, I them all! What I find most interesting in each is that the color is vibrant and I actual see the textures of each flower. Very, very !

Love them all, Amy! I have to say #4 is my fave! Like Judi said, it looks like you can reach out and touch it. You can almost smell the flower after a light rain. That is remarkable!!!
