Anyone have the Olympus E-volt E-510?

I think I am finally ready to update my camera to a DSLR. Consumer reports rates this one highly, but I don't know anyone who has it. Does anyone here have this camera of any of it's previous versions, E-410????

Since I am making this investment and there are so many choices, even within the same price point...I hate to make a wrong choice.

TIA

I don't think you'll go wrong with the Olympus E-Volt system. I know a lot of folks will tell you to go with the Canon or Nikon DSLR system, but Olympus is good.

I currently have the E-500, I've bought it used in Feb 2006, I've taken thousands of photos with it, and I love it. I am currently looking at the E-520, just released, and will be buying a body only before too much longer.

I am on a number of Olympus camera lists in Yahoo, and so far the feedback on the E-500 series (as well as the 400 series) has been mostly positive.

Are you buying on-line or going to a store near you?

There's a thread near the top of this forum called What Kind of Still Camera?

And towards the end is a member with the E-510, you can PM them and see how they still like it...

We've had the E-500 for about a year and a half. We're very happy with it. Takes great pics. One of the big selling features for us was that it came with 2 lenses. We did quite a bit of research before buying and have not regretted our purchase once.
