| Shooting Gallery -- October 2008 Sorry this is is going to be a short month for getting out and taking photos, but we'll get it going soon enough, right? First Assignment will be a simple one - show the changing of the seasons. I don't want to say fall because where I am we're already entering WINTER it seems... and those south of the equator are in Spring IIRC... so show the changing of the seasons in any way you want - HAVE FUN! (I don't know if I a mod wants to make this a sticky or not, but mods feel free to jump in at any time, and don't forget to participate yourselves!)

| Looks good, and just to remind everyone of the rules: I guess the rules will be simple 1. Pictures must be shot in the month that the "mission" is given. 2. All camera types and photogs welcome from the uber pro to the n00b! 3. Submissions can come whenever in the month, and you can go back and reshoot if you so desire. 4. Interpretation is open. You aren't going to be stuck in a box... photography is one of those fun little ways that you can think outside a box while looking through a box! 5. HAVE FUN!

You upload there, and then use the "insert image" button on this forum, while writing a post. Use the URL that photobucket assigns to your picture, and voila ... one picture, inserted into your post. | |

| Ok, I've been trying for a couple of days to capture a leaf falling. Today, I accomplished it! ![]() I also wanted to share a couple photos taken on October 8 in either Pennsylvania or New York and October 9 in Wisconsin: ![]() The October 8th photo ![]() The October 9th photo Both of these photos were taken through the windshield at about 70 mph while I felt sick as a dog. I think they turned out pretty good, considering. All were shot with my brand spankin' new fabulous Olympus Stylus 1010 that I'm still learning to use (and highly recommend to anybody wanting a fun P&S camera).
