| What is your favorite photography subject? As I was working on my Christmas 2008 photos, I realized that I have favorite subjects that I seemed to be drawn to. I especially love to photograph children; I want to capture their full range of emotions. My nephew does some really cool work with what I'd call still lifes. He took the neatest picture this Christmas of my niece-in-law's new suede boots and of the cookies and milk they set out for Santa. So I thought I'd share of couple of my pictures -- both are of my great-nephews as we shared Christmas. ![]() Poor thing had a smidge of cold and was tired of his great-aunt following him around to take another picture. ![]() This little fellow just loved the new truck he got for Christmas. This one turned out exactly as I imagined it as I set up the shot. So what or who do you like to photograph most? And if you can share a picture with us.

| Great shots! I must admit I find children and animals very challenging - trying to get good photos of both is a matter of hard work and some luck!

| Wow! I've had the same thought rattling around my noggin for a while too. Mostly 'cause I'm trying to decide what my next lens purchase will be. My favorite subject is family life. What I mean by that is documenting what we do, even simple stuff like making breakfast or splashing in the pool. I've started tinkering wildlife photography and think I could really get into it. I enjoy the thrill of the hunt. Of course, there's also the sports photography too. That's the bread & butter, but I do truly enjoy it. Cheers Craig

| Portraits... mainly photojournalistic style... but that's what I love to do, and why I became a photographer... Weddings are fun but the responsibility can be scary... I'm horrible at wildlife and landscapes... do better with archetecture but that's not my calling.

| But then you take such wonderful shots of places and I struggle with those, but I keep practicing.

| Hard question Cam.... I love taking pictures, period... I've done fashion, modeling, news, sports, portrait, action, nature, people/kids... I them all, they all have their different challenges...But, I guess my most favorite (other than taking photos of family for preservation) is nature. I love stalking the prey, be it deer, bear, birds, snakes, or spiders and capturing that one or two shots that really say something... I have some bird pictures here, Bird Pictures Photo Gallery by Bill Myers at pbase.com, taken a few years ago with my older Olympus C series cameras... And here's some squirrels, Squirrels and other critters Photo Gallery by Bill Myers at pbase.com

| I know what you mean. I bet I took 20 or more of each great-nephew to get a few that I'm most proud of.

| Bill, I your pictures of the birds and squirrels. My Dad has a couple of hummingbird feeders, but I've not had luck getting a good photo as the window causes glare and it's two stories up from outside. Your squirrels remind me of the ones that populated our backyard when I was growing up, and enjoyed harrassing our dog. Nature is one area where I want to get more practice.

| I like landscapes of all sorts, and sunrises/sunsets. I am trying to get more comfortable with pictures of people. One thing that I love shooting but have gotten away from is reflections. I think I need to get back into them again...
