| Dust spots on my photos. Help! I am seeing specks of dust on my photos! It is not my lens but dust in my camera. I have read not to touch the inside of your camera and have read that it is not big deal. So which is it? Anyone know? I have tried pressurized air and the spots are still there. If you are my Facebook friend (and most of you are) you can see what I am talking about on May Vacation 2009 photos. This is driving me CRAZY!!! Thanks for any help! Danielle

| it may be on the sensor (are you using a DSLR or a point and shoot?) you might need to take it in to a camera cleaner (most photo shops can do it)

| I rarely use the word never. However, for you I will make an exception. NEVER use canned air on your camera's sensor. Canned air is freon. When freon expands it gets cold. When your sensor, or it's filter, is exposed to freon it can be permanently damaged. Best case the cold will condense any moisture in the air onto, or between the sensor and filter. It's just bad news. Use a bulb blower. OK, now to your question. I'm assuming you have a DSLR. No matter how careful you are changing lenses you will get some dust in the body. If it gets stuck to your sensor and is not remove promptly it can statically "weld" to your sensor. The only way to break the weld is chemically. You can do it yourself or take to your local camera shop. It takes a steady hand, a very clean room with little moving air, the proper solvent for your body and the proper sized pads. You can get all the supplies for up to 12 cleanings for about $40. Your camera shop will charge you $50-70 for a single cleaning. G'Luck Craig
