Canon T1i impressions?

Has anyone tried the new Canon T1i yet? I am thinking about upgrading to it from my XT and have read some good reviews but would like some feedback from people who have it.

I am especially interested in the HD video aspect. I have read that it is ok at the 2nd highest level (can't remember the resolution) running at around 30 fps. Also have heard that you really want a tripod if you use the HD video function.

Any input would be appreciated.

thanks

I'm so far happy with mine! I haven't had much opportunity to use it as our summer has been very rainy, but what I've taken so far I'm happy with.

I can't wait to play with all of the functions!

I am getting really itchy to pull the trigger on this one. I just found out that Dell has it for $809 (minus another 3% with my Dell preferred acct) and free next day shipping.

So far all the reviews I have seen have been good. Only bad thing I've read is the HD video isn't too good at it's highest setting but that doesn't bother me.

I have my point and shoot for video, so that didn't bother me either.

Enjoy it!

Got the camera last night and went to the zoo today to experiment. Really like it. Got some good shots (and not so good shots but that was due to the operator playing around with the camera parameters ).

Our zoo has four tiger cubs which make a good spot to play with a new camera. I'll be posting some of these shots on my photoblog.
