| This happened to me last year but 3 days before we left. Well it still works, but I dropped it and the batterly clip broke. I need to get it fixed....but it was cheaper to buy a new camera. I always buy olympus cameras because I have been very happy with them. I use the stylus line. I have the 850SW which is part of the tough series (all weather, underwater safe and shock proff up to 5 ft.). I love the camera. There are many modes that you can change to (nightshots, available light, sports, underwater (yes you can take it underwater!!), behind glass, etc...). You can also choose between three shutter speeds and many iso. They don't make my model any more, but they have the new ones...I think the 1030SW is the cheapest. They sell it at Target and Costco and I am sure other places too. It is pricey, but I consider it an investment. It runs in the $250 range and goes up from there depending on the model. My last olympus camera lasted 5 years before I broke it. Other stylus models are just as good, but I went for the tough because I tend to be rough with my cameras. Here is the website for the camera: Shockproof Waterproof Digital Cameras Olympus Here is my photo website. http://stephandjeffsatkowiak.shutterfly.com/ 90% of the pictures on this site (aside from my wedding) was taken with this camera. I am not a pro by any means...so take that into account when viewing |

| Well I like my Kodaks. My newest camera I paid $80 for and it'll take action shots and pretty darn good nighttime shots too!

| We really like our Canon Powershot for quick shots and pretty good action shots. Our is older, so I'd recommend the latest model.

| I love my Canon Powershot with the image stabilization feature and great zoom. Not sure what model is now the latest and greatest but I took mine straight from the camera store out of the box and went to WDW, got around to reading the manual after I returned home. It is that user friendly I also have a DSLR, while it is a great camera, it takes more maneuvering..... if you know what I mean. Last edited by travelin n scrappin sara; 09-05-2009 at 05:42 PM..
