| Is anyone else here working on Project 365? We just started this week and it's raining and my photo subjects are a bit more limited than usual. More details about Project 365: Photojojo » Project 365: How to Take a Photo a Day and See Your Life in a Whole New Way

| I started doing this in Jan, but fell off the wagon over the summer.

| I like the challenge of having to find something new and different and NOT BORING every day to take a picture of. The rain really hampers me because I like to take pictures outside where the light is so much better. Our little house is like a cave! Today, in desperation due to the rain, I took pictures of my lunch - italian wedding soup and a bottle of water. The soup shot came out pretty good, actually.

| What a neat idea! I had never heard of it before. If I am going to take a picture everyday, first I will have to get my new smaller camera, since there is no way I am going to cart my DSLR with me to work everyday. I am going to put this on my to do list - maybe start with the new year in January.

| I am doing it! A link to my blog is here: Shayne’s Project 365 Some days are easier than others. Try to think of some recurring things you can do. For instance, I take a photo of the front of our house on the first day of each season to see how things change as the seasons change (first day of fall is coming next week!). I also have a series of "My Favorites" that shows just minor things in our house (a mug, a pen, a purse) that I have that are my absolute favorite things that I own or use. Those are good to fall back on when no other inspiration strikes! Some of my photos are more artistic. Some are more everyday snapshots. I'm a scrapbooker and I figure that in a few years, it will be fun to look back at the stuff that seems mundane now to see how the kids have changed and how our lives and surroundings may have changed. I also want to make sure that I'm not always behind the camera. So I try to take a photo of myself (or have someone else do it) once a month. I aim to have a photo of myself on or around the 11th of every month---my birthday is on Sept. 11th, so the 11th made it easy to remember to do it! I also take a lot of food pictures for some reason! Have fun with it! |

| I have taken pictures of books I am reading or areas in my house that don't usually get photographed, such as the laundry room.
