| What do you think? I am having trouble with my digital camera, and could use some opinions. I have a Kodak Z612 (? I think thats the number) and it is about 3 years old. I love the camera and use it a lot! Lately I have had a problem with the LCD screen on it. When I turn the camera up on it's side to take a vertical picture the screen goes black. It doesn't do it all of the time, and it doesn't matter how charged the battery is. My question is this... Would it be worth it to take it somewhere and have it fixed, or should I just invest another $250 to get a new version? My DH seems to think it would be expensive to have it looked at, and I can't get anyone to quote a cost for repair over the phone (understandably). Can anyone give me some advice?

| These days, you can get twice the camera for a lower price than you probably paid for that one. Getting them fixed isn't cheap, however, I would at least check the Kodak site. I say this because most manufacturers will fix cameras that aren't very old for a flat rate. My Canon A640 had the lens freeze up on it and Canon fixed it for $100, which was much cheaper than replacing the camera at that time... You can go here and walk through the trouble shooting guide and see if there is a fix, or whether they can fix it... KODAK Step-by-Step Solutions and Repair
