| New Camera Help I need a new digital camera. I have a great little Point and Shoot - a Sony DSC-W90 (I think). I love it for just stuff, but I need one that will take GREAT action shots. DD Lauren is starting her second year in karate team competition, and those kids move FAST. It's also always indoors, in gymnasiums. I'd like to stick with Sony's, just because I like being able to switch the media sticks back and forth, but I can move to another camera if need be. Any suggestions for indoor, quick sports? |

| Does it have a sports setting? Or does it have a manual mode that would allow you to adjust the shutter speed to about 250/sec without using a flash?

| indoor quick - I'd use a DSLR... especially with what you want (though some blur is kinda cool, but you can control how much, easier, with a DSLR no idea/recommendation for point and shoot, though.

| Hmmm I say it depends on the price you want to spend as well. If you are going to spend $500-600 then no way should you get a P&S...invest in one of the great SLR's. I have a canon rebel and I am sure Sony makes something comparable although I would have to suggest a Nikon or canon that's jmo. Any a $300 price range is different, $200 etc and that puts you into a P&S range.
