I might have spelled that wrong but my DD like piknik as a free photo editing/playing around with photos site. Now that's it's shut down, what's out there that's like piknik and free???
I'll look at GIMP. I found one that seemed pretty close to piknik called Be Funky but it requires an upgraded flash player or something which won't go when we click on it. It's primarily for my DD to turn her pics into fun things. I too thought either google or flickr was going to do something with piknik.
