Lightning from Friday night's storms
So Friday my husband and I were monitoring the derecho moving across the midwest toward us in the mid-atlantic, and as it arrived I noticed how frequent the lightning was. As soon as the worst part of the storm was past, we took off to find a spot to watch the show. Amazing lightning crawling across the entire sky, large enough that even my 10mm UWA lens couldn't capture it all.

Amazing shots! When the derecho (I've NEVER hear that term applied to weather around here) passed through it was mid-afternoon and very scary! Too light to see that goregous show you took pictures of.
