| Before we were married, my DH and I went to WDW in Aug 1997. He had booked a late dinner at Cinderella's Castle. This in itself was very romantic to me because Cinderella has been my favorite princess since childhood. Well he outdid himself - After dinner, as we were waiting for our desserts to be served, he dropped to one knee and proposed! Just as I said "yes!", the lights dimmed and the fireworks started outside the castle! What a night! Seven years later, we went back to WDW in Oct '06 with our 2 DD's and had lunch at CRT. We told the story to our girls, who were very excited to realize that we were eating in the same place where Daddy asked Mommy to marry him! Now we're counting down to our Oct '08 trip and we are once again, dining with our 2DD's at CRT for breakfast. Can't wait to relive the memories while we're there! Kathy

| Now that our Couples WDW Trip days are over, reading this thread is a little bittersweet. But I have fond memories of strolling around WS after dark with a and then taking International Gateway and walking around Boardwalk, and finally settling in by watching SE twinkle from our balcony at BCV. ![]()

| Our first trip together was this past November. It was the most romantic trip we've ever taken anywhere. We ate dinner at Artist Point and Narcoosee's. We will definitely be eating there again. Then my, now fiance, proposed during Illuminations! It was the most romantic night I've ever had. Now we're hoping to get back there for our 1st anniversary.

| I think there are a lot of no/low cost romantic things that you can do around Disney. I love lying in the hammocks at Caribbean Beach. I loved walking the river around Port Orleans. I loved singing along with hubby at Jellyrolls. I love the World Showcase at night, especially during the food and wine festival. Watching the Electrical Water Pageant and/or fireworks from the beach Riding any boat during Wishes Walking through the wedding pavillion at the GF and remembering our own wedding Slightly more expensive... Romantic dinner at Le Cellier on our anniversary Power boating around Seven Seas High Tea at the GF As for some of the pricier options.... Dinner at Victoria and Alberts and then lying in our honeymoon suite at the Grand Floridian and watching Wishes out the windows. (Romantic highlight of our marriage) Couples massage Wishes or Breathless cruise Romance is everywhere, and while setting the stage is awesome the most romantic times are often the ones we fall into totally by accident. As a former commando Disney only girl, one of the most fun things to me about Disney with my hubby is learning to stop and appreciate the little moments when they happen. We have a great memory of being at Disney Quest and riding the VR ship where you are supposed to save the colonists (can't think of the name at the moment) and for some reason, there were not enough ppl in line so we were the only ppl in the ship. I was pilot, hubby was gunner, and that was it. We didn't get out in time and perished along with the planet, but man did we have fun

| My wife and I were engaged at WDW almost 22 years ago. I proposed to her on the dock of the POLY in the evening with soft Hawaiian music playing in the backgroud and the Castle shimmering in the distance. It was perfect! |

| I just booked a haunted carriage ride for me and my DH's first trip as a couple at Fort Wilderness. It's not supposed to be really scary, but I figure it will be kind of romantic and fun. We're going on the very first ride of the season on 10/3 at 7:30 PM - I made the reservation today. If there's another couple going to WDW at the same time who wants to split it with us, I'm up for it...it's $60 for whole the carriage regardless of whether you have 2 or 4 adults on board. I am sure I could change the reservation from 2 riding to 4 without an upcharge, and I'd be willing to try? No kids though, please. This will be need to be an adults only carriage ride for the sake of our enjoyment. We don't have children. ; ) If we split it between 2 couples it would be $30 per couple plus I am guessing a tip for the driver. We pay cash when we board, so we wouldn't have to exchange money or coordinate too much in advance, just meet up at pioneer hall 15 minutes prior and hop on at the same time. If anyone is interested, shoot me a message. I'd love to save the money and open up this limited opportunity to another Passporter couple. |

| So far: - Dinner at Cali Grill during Wishes - Dinner at Victoria & Albert's - Some other type of gift - he's paying for the trip (I'm paying for V&A's, which he doesn't know we're going to yet), but I'd like there to be something else, like a gift basket or some other type of present. Any ideas? |

| I just had Betsy of MemoriesByBetsy make up a basket for my DH. She'll do any nnon=food items that you want. I had her include a bath bomb and massage bar from Basin.

| I have my plans for our first WDW vacation scheduled for December '09. Here's the background so that it makes sense. DH and I met at college, he was a grad student and I was finishing my senior year of undergrad. Our first Christmas together in '96, I planned a suprise dinner out on Christmas Eve, then instead of returning to my apartment (I drove) I took him to a little B&B about a 30 minute drive away to Galena, IL. I had a huge gift basket made up w/champagne, cheese, crackers, and chocolates. The whole time he had no idea, where I was going or what I was up to....just told him I felt like going for a little drive before going home. So, on our vacation, which will be the 13th one together (the number is special to us b/c he was born on the 13th and I on the 31st) and since it will be just before Christmas, I am scheduling dinner at Narcoossee's, Kids Club for the children, but instead of going to pick them up right away after dinner, I am taking him back to our room for some adult fun, where there will be a similar gift basket and rose petals that will hopefully be delivered by WDW Floral while we are out! My attempt to recreate our first Christmas (I think it may have been what sealed the deal for him)!
