| Pirate & Princess Party Anyone gone without kids? Or gone with kids and can offer input? DH and I will be in WDW in four weeks, and they'll be having the P&P party while we're there. We have no kids, and I was contemplating buying tickets. We've gone to MNSSHP twice and loved it. Liked the short ride lines, the special parade, he fun atmosphere. There were a number of other adult couples as well. How does P&P compare? Thanks for any input! |

| DBF and I went together (we don't have kids either), and we (mostly) enjoyed ourselves. I say mostly because I was really sick that night, and ended up having to leave early to go back to the hotel. However, DBF stayed on his own and spent the time visiting all the different characters that were out in various costumes, or that aren't normally out and about during regular park days. Also, the fireworks are absolutely amazing, as is the parade. Both are similar to the MNSSHP in that they are completely different from SpectroMagic and Wishes! fireworks show. We also dressed up like pirates, which was definitely a lot of fun. DBF had a white ruffled shirt that looked like the shirt Jerry wore on Seinfeld (the "puffy shirt" episode), and all night, cast members commented and teased him about his puffy shirt. They also seemed genuinely excited that we, as childless adults, had gotten dressed up for the event. I definitely think you'll also appreciate the fact that, since a lot of the people who attend do have families, most of their time is spent waiting in line for the characters, and going on the various "quests" that you can do to gather "jewels and pirate's gold." Therefore, rides are pretty freed up, with most, especially later in the evening, with pretty much little-to-no-wait!

| You'll find a lot of adults attending kidless at the Pirate and Princess party....and they're usually dressed up as Pirates when they do so. If you'd go to the parks "kidless" then why should it be any different for you to go to the Pirate and Princess Party? GREAT fireworks show...probably the best I've ever seen... it's a good time, I enjoyed my trip there, lines are really short, etc...so you should have a good time. Tim |

| My husband and I are taking our 2nd trip "sans" kids later this month, and I bought Party tickets for us! We've never been to one of the parties before, and we are both looking forward to it!

| We took my niece and had a BLAST at the party. We enjoyed following the treasure maps to the booty and all the character opportunities. As was mentioned before, the parade was great (when we were there was Tinkerbell's first time in a parade which was cool), and the fireworks are out of this world. I have also gone to the parks and had a wonderful time with no children at all. As far as what the rides were like during the party, I never considered rides at all. I don't think we rode anything, but I could be remembering incorrectly. It was all about the booty hunt and the characters, so if you are into rides I bet the lines were like nothing. I certainly don't remember seeing any lines.

| DH and I would love to attend P&P on our honeymoon next April (still waiting - and hoping - for dates to be announced). It didn't even occur to me that we'd feel out of place without kids - after all, we're honeymooning at Disney! So I'm sure you'll have a great time, too! By the way, I think being able to dress in pirate attire in public as an adult is half the fun of P&P

Disney is one of the few places that you can be affirmed for remembering how to be a kid and knowing when to be a "grown-up." Part of the magic is having that child-like wonder and fun that we all still cherish affirmed; I can still want to be a pirate princess when I grow up, and I can make that wish come true at the P&PP. That's magical. | |
