| Star Wars Weekends. Thoughts anyone? Hey all, I just got back from Christmas at WDW (promise I'll post a report soon), and I'm thinking of trying to plan another trip. My thoughts are to go (childless) during a Star Wars Weekend with a friend. Does anyone know the dates for this year, yet? I was thinking of going the first weekend in June, but can't find dates yet. I can push it off a week just to be certain I hit a Star Wars Weekend, if needed, but I would like to get the planning in the works if I'm really going to make it happen. Should I just buy regular passes, since I doubt we'll be park-hopping? Or is it better to be safe than sorry? I'm thinking of staying at Coronado, since it's pretty close to Hollywood Studios. Definitely staying at a Moderate Resort this time, though I loved All-Star Sports. POFQ is my runner up choice. We didn't do a dining plan this past December, and I doubt I will ever go back without one. It would have made life so much easier than having to deal with paying for meals and watching menu prices. So, what are thoughts of the new DDP division? I can't decide if we'll eat enough food for the Deluxe plan, but we might eat more than the Basic plan covers. Plus the mugs come with the Deluxe plan, and I LOVED those!!! Saved us so much on drinks. Anyway, I should get back to work. Just wanted to get some input from you all! Thanks!

| I have heard the dates are Fri, Sat and Sun. in June starting the 6th (after we are to leave ) maybe next time! for us. We are doing the DDP Deluxe for our visit for 10 days. It was easier for us without having to decide on prices and such. My future DH eats more than I do anyway! I have never done the DDP before, so I'll have to post on it later. Have fun!

| I'm hearing (I've read it in more than one place now) weekends from June 6th through June 29th. The park-hopping's hard to say--- whatever you think you'll like to do. We've gone without before, and I find that difficult. Last time we were at SWW, it was tooooo crowded by 12:30, and we had to go to another park (I was starting to feel a little clausterphobic--- but we have really young kids too.

| We were there for Star Wars Weekend in 05, and went to that park specifically for that. All I can say is that part of the park was PACKED!! They even had a line to get INTO Tatooine Traders! One tip if you are wanting to get autographs from any of the special guests. GO EARLY. They do that kind of like a Fastpass. You get a ticket before the event, and then when it is time, you can get in line for your autograph/photo op. If you don't get the ticket, you can't get in line. Too bad Millionaire is gone. We did the Star Wars Edition Who Wants to be a Millionaire and it was tons of fun. My son's goal was to get into the hot seat. He didn't make it, but he did see his seat number in the top 10 at one point. He was very excited about that.

| It always depends on personal taste, but if I were making the plans, I'd at least plan a lovely ADR at a sit-down restaurant. My experiences with SWW are the same as others have already expressed....crowds, crowds, and more crowds. I'm a lightweight when it comes to being mashed in with that many people, and between the crowds and the heat, I need a break in mid-afternoon. However, many of the characters only come out in the afternoon - peak crowd times. I was so upset last year because I developed a migraine and had to leave around 1 p.m. I never got to see Han, Luke, or Leia...they didn't make appearances until later afternoon. This year, I'm going to plan a long, leisurely, air-conditioned lunch or a brief escape over to EPCOT or Boardwalk to try to counteract the heat & crowds.

| would go with BCV or BWV if you can afford it. being able to get out of the crowds and rest for a while - it is definitely worth. try renting a DVC reservation for that time. (okay fri and sat won't work - because it cost too much for those days)

| We were there in May 06. That part of the park becomes packed quickly with Star Wars fans (nice) and COLLECTORS, who weren't very politte. I loved seeing the Star Wars people (we've done conventions before) and seeing my favorite mouse all at the same time, however some of the SW fans weren't there for any WDW fun at all and didn't seem to understand that the rest of us were double-dipping. For us the park hopper allowed us to enjoy as much as we could, then leave to a quieter park for awhile.
