| No Kids No Major Plans No problem Just a quick de-stress / am I an a bad Husband post First time in five years that the wife and I get to go to WDW without the Kids. Asked the wife what she wanted to do and she said no plans. My major problem is that after doing the no plan trip with the kids ONCE. my friends here have taught me to have a plan and not go without one. We are making our first trip to WDW as a DVC member and as I said my planning has been very general and now we are less than 12 days away from leaving. Big issues for me are the lack of a major plan and the wife wanting to play it by ear. I think it's just me not being able to say that we know the ropes and without the kids we can go a bit more freestyle. I guess that with the gap of 5 years of going with just the 2 of us I am getting crazy. I have made a few plans for V day, but somebody let me know if it's just me and stress or do I need to go into panic mode. OOOPS forgot to say staying at SS(DVC) no Dinnig Plan and we both have AP's Help or Hand holding CPT. NEMO |

| I think you'll be fine My parents went in September, with no real ADR plans, and didn't have any problems getting into restaurants (I think parties of 2 are much easier to seat)! I'm sure you'll have a great time ![]()

| I agree, so long as you're flexible about where you want to eat and eat at less popular times, you should be OK.

| You'll be fine. We never make plans any more than booking one character meal. That's it. We are go with the flow, laid back kind of people and it always works out fine. Relax and enjoy your time together!

| I used to be a WDW Commando; everything was planned down to the second. My kids have been out of the house for several years now, we moved down to Florida a few years ago, and I don't plan ANYthing anymore! It's wonderful!! Enjoy, meander, stop at the restaurant's kiosks to see if they have any openings, if not, hit a fast food place. No Worry Mon!

| Cpt Nemo, relax and have a great time. Enjoy walking through the ambience of the World Showcase, hand in hand. Take a little break near the pool with a yummy beverage. Throw planning to the wind and don't worry about it. Have a relaxing, romantic trip!

| As long as there is no particular restaurant experience that you have your heart set on, you'll be fine. However, if there is a place or two that you're simply dying to try, then I recommend that you make ADRs at those places to put your mind at ease that you will indeed be assured of a table there. Joy

| Even with the kids-my planning is very general. What park do we want to hit on what day? Is there anything on anyone's list that is a must do? With just the two of you-relax and enjoy. some of our best times at WDW were unexpected and happened because we were going with the flow.

| Hi, My husband & I took our first trip to WDW without our kids (they are both adults now but still like to vacation with us). We had a wonderful time and did a little bit of planning ahead, mostly for eating in EPCOT. We called just the night before to get reservations at the new Italian rest. in Italy. It was wonderful! Good luck and most of all - TAKE YOUR TIME AND HAVE A WONDERFUL RELAXING TIME!! cyndi |
