| Cat & Shawn's Belated Hunnymoon - Feb 8-15, 2008! We're getting close and after the snowstorm that happened yesterday I am even MORE excited to spend 8 glorious days waking up and NOT having to dig the car out from 30 cm of snow and ice. Shawn and I were married July 2, 2005. We should have gone on our honeymoon back then but in the months leading up to the wedded bliss Shawn was laid off and our funds were dangerously low. We just sort of hung out and ate left over cupcakes from our cupcake tree for two weeks after the wedding. Our dream was to honeymoon at Disney World. Our first ever vacation together was also our first ever trip to the world at the end of February 2004. It was a last minute, spontaneous decision and a fast trip - 4 full days. One park a day. Talk about EXHAUSTING! But we had such an amazing time we knew we had to go back and next time would be longer. We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort and didn't realize that the standard rooms came with two DOUBLE beds and not two Queen beds. Oops! We spent those 5 nights sleeping in separate beds because Shawn is considerably larger than I am and we don't fit in a double bed. As sad as it was, it WAS actually rather nice to not have to fight for the covers for a few nights. haha! So the honeymoon was postponed... until Shawn found a new job (Oct 2005) so we planned to go near the end of the winter in 2006. That didn't happen because then I switched jobs and two days after I was told I got the new job... our lovely rented duplex burned down and we were suddenly homeless. Two newlyweds and two dogs. Great stuff. So we patiently lived with my in-laws (hooo boy) for over a YEAR in their bungalow's basement. We were supposed to move back by Sept 06 when the building was rebuilt, but alas, the landlord decided that it would be better for him if he lived there and didn't tell us (until 4 weeks before we were supposed to move back!). With that crushing news we knew that the Disney trip would be postponed yet again because we needed to re-evaluate our options. We ended up buying our very first home in March 2007 and have been happily away from the in-laws (ha) for almost a year now. That year with them however did enable us to save enough money for a) down payment for the house and b) possible vacation. Of course Shawn was now in a job that didn't give him any vacation, had crazy overtime (80 hr weeks!) and he even had to work long weekends. What to do?? Luckily he got a new job exactly two years to the date he started at the crummy job and now he has vacation time! Then the Canadian dollar went up. Heh. We jumped on THAT right away.... so now we have a room at the Caribbean Beach Resort - a KING room I was told to be sure to wear the Ears provided for honeymooners... does that really make a difference? Not that I won't wear them, I love wearing any ears. But I am curious as to what it might bring....Not too many big plans - Character Dining at the Crystal Palace on the 9th and then we're going to the Pirate and Princess Party on Feb 14th (I had to do SOMETHING that day, even though we never celebrate Valentine's Day because we're not fans of the commercial holiday. Thanks for listening (reading..) and I will appreciate any helpful hints and tips you can give us!

| I hope you have a lovely time! We had a king bed room at POFQ and not only appreciated the size of the bed but the extra space in the room itself.

| so glad you are finally going. The 'extras' you get of course, are not guaranteed. And they are usually small, but fun things. It may be anything from several "happy honeymoon" greetings from CMs throughout the parks, to a free dessert or maybe a fastpass on a busy ride. Whatever it is, (or isn't) you will have fun wearing the ears. They put a smile on your face. Enjoy!!!!!!

| Well, we're all web checked-in for our flight tomorrow morning. Almost all packed and I am currently running around trying to clean everything in sight (I need to come home to a clean home! As it is my FiL is re-varnishing all our hardwood floors while we're gone and furniture will be upside down and everything will be dusty!). So the sheets are clean, soon to be put on the bed, the dishes will be washed in a while and I'll hop in the shower before we drive the dogs to the in-laws for THEIR vacation. Looks like the weather will be wet but warm when we get there, which is so much better than the weather HERE right now. I will take rain and warmth over snow and below zero temps! We leave at 5:30 am for the airport and will be in Orlando before noon. I can not wait!!!

| Ok! We're back and had a GREAT time and before I post all about it and link to the photos.. I need HELP! There were these awesome round plushies in the stores, all round like a ball and they had the Pooh and Eeyore ones. I bought the round plushie Pooh for my 17 month old niece but wish I had bought the Eeyore for my sister - only they don't seem to be on the Disney store site! NOR are they on ebay!! (surprised at that). Is there any way to order stuff from the shops at Disney World that they sell? Any other options? Eek! I wanted a Pluto and Donald for myself, but alas funds and suitcase space at the time were limited. Any ideas??

| Oooh! Awesome! I didn't know about the Mail Order. Thanks very much for the information! Still sorting through photos and have been swamped with all the work that didn't stop while I was away (why is that fair??) so I am behind on my recap - sorry!! I hope to make some progress on that this weekend.
