| My cousin has decided to get married at WDW in July '09 . I'm all in for the planning of the wedding week. I'd like some tips and advice to pass along to my Cousin and Aunt from those who are further along in their wedding plans or have just had a Disney Wedding - or even those who have BEEN TO a Disney wedding. What's your best advice? Story? Location? etc etc etc... ![]() |

| well it depends on how many people are going to be there. keep in mind july is very hot, so the pavillion would probably be your best bet. I got married at the boardwalk in oct. and even though we were under a covered top, people were still sweating a bit.(not everyone) I would probably do it there again-even in july-because it is beautiful and I love the ambiance there. also, it is so easy planning a wedding through disney. no point in worrying, because they do everything for you.

| Definately have her check out Disney's wedding site and request information. My SIL is getting married at WDW in just a few short weeks on May 14th. She's planning an Escape wedding, and there are 7 of us going down with them. The number of guests will have a big impact on her planning! We'd love to see her around here at Passporter too!

| We got married at WDW and had the ceremony at 10:30 because of the heat in Florida in August. If it had been any later the pictures would have shown us melting! I did have to get up pretty early to get my hair and makeup done at Polynesian with husband before the ceremony, but it was worth it. A lot of brides like to have their photos taken at the Grand Floridian but my photographer said we could get a lot more pictures taken if we did not wait in the line for that. I got some amazing pictures taken at the Polynesian and we were the only ones there! After the ceremony we had an hour of prereception while we took photos with the new families and then we opened the main dining area at 12. Some people might think that 12 is too early to have an open bar, but we did and to be honest once you are inside the ballroom you do not think about time! Good luck helping with the planning! |

| We got married at the Yacht Club wedding gazebo in August of 2004. It was so hot outside that the video camera lens fogged up and our ceremony was a little delayed. My DH was waiting under the gazebo which did have a ceiling fan, but I was melting in the heat while we waited for the camera lens to clear. All in all though the ceremony was beautiful and everything went very smoothly. Disney really does everything top notch and I think whatever your cousin decides, she can't go wrong.
