Trouble getting into Victoria & Alberts Chef's Table???

I'm not sure if anyone else has tried to get reservations for Victoria & Albert's Chef's table for the end of September thru Oct 11th. I called 2 weeks straight...each at the 180 day mark right at 7am, and each time it was booked. I was hoping to book this for our 15th Anniversary. But with no luck.
Has this become that popular??? The last time we went in 2005, I had no problem. I'm just really disappointed. I believe this is about the same time as the golf classic and alot of big names in the house, and I'm really starting to wonder if this is the reason. Can anyone shed some light?

I have no idea, as I've never called for it, but I did think that if you called at 180 days out at 7am, you'd have a good chance of getting in. You may be right, maybe there are a lot of big names there when you are. What a shame.

That is a shame, but I bet if you call to make a ressie and ask for the Chef menu since it was booked, you will still have an amazing 15th anniversary dinner!! How could you not?

(and too bad they dont have a waiting list!!)

Good Luck!

So sorry to hear that you couldn't get the reservations you hoped for. When I missed out on reservations for the second day in a row, the CM told me that if you call (407) 824-1089 and speak to the maitre de there is a waiting list. Also, I think that angelmum123 is correct in that you can probably still get the Chef's menu if you call ahead. Good Luck.

We are now on the waiting list for the 2 week time period that we will be there. You have to leave a message when you call. They called my cell phone a day later to tell me we are on the list and that they would call if there are any cancellations. I've just never had so much trouble in getting this reservation. My DH says lets go to the Bistro de Paris which is above the Chef's de France instead. I'm going to book it and hope for the best. I am hoping there will be a cancellation, because we do so enjoy the Chefs table at V&A! We look so forward to the gastronomy of the different flavors and smells. Thanks for everyone's support! Everyone cross their fingers!

I just tried to get ADRs for Bistro de Paris 180 days in advance and was told that the Bistro only reserves 30 days in advance. This was news to me as I thought that all restaurants now reserved 180 days out. If you want BdP, remeber to mark your calander and call early.

I'd still suggest trying to get the Chef's menu served in the main dining room at V&A's. Please let us know if your able to pull this off.

Don't forget that the Food & Wine Festival will be in full swing during your stay. I haven't found details yet but you should be able to plan for Party For the Senses on a Saturday night during your stay. Maybe even one of the Exquisite Meals if that doesn't break the bank.
