| I need to look for rings I wasn't sure where to post this, and I figured this forum was as good as any. My DBF wants me to start looking for engagement rings so he can get an idea of what I would like. He wants to buy it on his own, but wants me to give him a few ideas. He may or may not choose from the rings I pick. ANYWAY, my question to ya'll is....does anyone know where I could find a Disney themed engagement ring? I am not a big fan of diamonds. (I like them, but would rather have a pretty colored stone.) I would think a nice setting with three stones arranged in a hidden Mickey formation would be pretty. Oh I don't know......any ideas? |

| How wonderful! I don't know of any place to buy a ring outright but a good jeweler could certainly create one. You could then incorporate colored stones rather than diamonds. I know some guys want to pick the ring themselves but working together to create a perfect symbol of the two of you might be more special in the long run. Good luck and let us know what you decide!

| How wonderful for you! I designed my ring with a jeweler and it's not as expensive as you might think. You should meet with a jeweler/store who has been around for a long time. I wouldn't go with a large chain store but an independent. It shouldn't cost you anything to have them draw out some ideas but ask before you start. If they do charge you, then find another jeweler. I don't know where you could find any Disney rings, but I'm sure someone on here might know.

| Found those and LOVED them. However, he doesn't want to get me a ring with so obvious a Mickey on it. I think we are going to end up having it made custom. But that ring is a good reference point for a jeweler. |

| FWIW my engagement ring is a small solitaire diamond in a heart shaped cut. I always thought that it gave the impression of a mickey head shape w/o actually being one. I actually went w/ dh to the jewelry store and picked it out w/ him (and got my finger sized) and then he went back and purchased it w/o me knowing. He surprised me w/ it on a trip to WDW just under a year before our wedding. I was truly surprised and grateful he did NOT give it to me on the castle steps or at CRT. It was just the two of us at the wishing well...he did a great job! ![]() Close to 8yrs and two kids later... he's still doing great!!! We take pictures w/ the kids in front of the wishing well every time we visit!

| We found my engagement ring today!! We were planning to just look so he could get an idea of what I liked, but then it was the last one and in clearance. It is a beautiful sapphire triangle cut main stone with some sapphire bagguetes and small round diamonds. It is currently out to be sized to fit my finger. I attached a pic of it. Even though it didn't have an obvious hidden Mickey, when we looked closely at the stone there is a hidden Mickey INSIDE the main stone. That is what was the deciding factor. |
