Question PHOTOPASS PHOTO SESSION VERUS DISNEY HONEYMOON PORTRAIT SESSION

When I was signing up for the honeymoon photo session, I thought it was the same one everyone been talking about at the GF and Poly. I found out it was not. The honeymoon photographers are not associated with the Photopass system. So I was wondering if anyone has experience with both set of photographers and which would you prefer to do honeymoon photos with? I was thinking about doing the honeymoon session at the Wilderness Lodge and Magic Kingdom and maybe adding a photo pass photo shoot for GF and Poly? Do you think this is too many pictures? So far we only have three pictures of us together.

Congrats on the wedding! I have no experience with either. But coming from someone who has no pictures of me and DBF and am really picky about how I am in pictures I don't think it's too many pictures. The only thing I would consider is the financial situation of the two photoshoots. Hope this helps!

My SIL was just married at WDW in May and had an outside photographer for her photos. Disney switched her photo package to the Honeymoon package and they spent 30 minutes taking pictures and they ended up with TWO 5x7s. They did pay for it through their package, but it's something they would have never booked alone. Definately find out what they are offering as prints afterwards. I'd call the Disney Fairytale Wedding line and talk with them about it.

Maybe Geri can weigh in on this, I just finished looking at her pictures, they were great!! If you look at her album, the photographer has some contact information!

I just wanted to say that I don't think you can ever have too many photos of you together. I know that's the case with me and I always jump at the opportunity to have more done.

Personally the only pics I have of FDH and I are a couple of candids taken at Christmas and a strip of pics taken in a photo booth at the local pizza place. I am planning to book a photosession at either the Poly or GF for our honeymoon.

PhotoPass photographers are not professionals, and the quality ranges widely. Some of them have a lot of natural talent, but some do not. The Honeymoon Portrait Sessions are done by professional photographers employed by Disney's in-house group, Disney Photographic Services.... and the quality ranges a bit with them, too However, you have a better chance of getting pro quality pictures with DPS photographers.

This only applies to DFTW Escape wedding couples who swap the included photography for the Honeymoon Portrait Session. Anyone else who books the session will get a 20-print 4x6-inch white Disney theme album (images chosen by the photographer) and a 4x6 print of every photo taken during the session.

Hope this helps!

update

I decide not to do the Honeymoon package through DPS and went with the portrait sessions at the resort. The main reason is because I wanted to wear my dress. The portrait sessions at the resorts were great. Most of the photos came out great. We were orginally suppose to do all of the sessions with our wedding attire but because of the heat we only did WL with our wedding attire. We also cancel the shoot at the GF because Dh was tired of taking pictures by then. So we did the sessions at WL, BC, AKL, and Poly. The only complaint I have is that some of the pictures were a little dark and had to be lighter. I am most disappointed in the park pictures. I will post pic as soon as i get the cd from disney.
