| Kids, your dad and I are going to WDW without you. OK we didn't break it to them just that way. But DH found an awesome SW Ding several weeks back. We already have a 10 day family vacation planned for August, and the Ding was for July. We discussed it and we just couldn't afford 2 Family Disney trips about 2 1/2 weeks apart!! BUT, we could afford for just us two to go for our anniversary (which is the end of July!-oh and we do have annual passes that are burning a hole in our pockets) I didn't feel too guilty because the kids(14, 10, 8) will be going to WDW in August. So DH and I will be without children for the first time in over 14 years! We'll be staying at SSR, and plan on doing EMH the first night (our flight arrives around 7:30pm), then the next morning we'll be doing Keys to the Kingdom, that evening we have ADR's at the Yachtsman Steakhouse, on the third day which is our actual anniversary (19years) we have dinner at Victoria and Alberts (I'm so excited!! I have a black cocktail dress and DH promised to wear a suit AND tie) We plan to end the evening at Pleasure Island at the soon to close Adventurers Club (so glad we'll be able to experience it at least once before it closes!) I didn't plan anything for the fourth day (my DH was teasing me that I probably had a minute-by-minute itinerary of our activities) so DH could veg or hang by the pool - and our flight leaves late that evening. An anniversary trip that is long enough for us to have adult fun Did I mention I'm really excited and its only 14 days away?? ![]()

| Congratulations! DH and I did it last year, and it was wonderful. We didn't tell the kids though. They just thought we were taking a long weekend away somewhere. They never guessed we would go to WDW without them! Enjoy!

| You are going to have a GREAT time. We have snuck down without our kids (12, 9, 6,) for our birthdays (Feb). It is such a different vacation without kids. Don't get me wrong...the kids are FUN but this one will be all about what you guys want to do! Have a great time. -pita

| Congrats and enjoy Betty! I agree that it helps when you have a family trip planned. Your kids are old enough to understand somewhat. We didn't tell Ariana where we were going until after we got home and then it was mentioned briefly. Happy Anniversary early!!

| Did you already tell your kids, or are you not going to tell them? DH and I are going without ours for the first time and I'm afraid they will really be mad (well, actually my oldest DD is the one who will be the most upset.) I'm not sure how to tell them, but I know I have to, because I'll have lots of photos and there's no way I could hide those from her! I'm really not sure how to tell them; I'm probably too worried about it but it is causing me some anxiety! We just went with them in April, and don't have another family trip planned.
