Sure!

We used cheap bride and groom ball caps I bought as a set for $10 on eBay. For the groom ears, just buy a cheap-o set of classic black mouse ears and cut them off, leaving a bit of the material at the base of them.

We made slits in the sides of the ball cap and pushed the fabric left at the base of the ears through, then covered it on the inside of the cap with black felt that was affixed using Barge, an industrial-strength adhesive they use to put soles on shoes. You can also use contact adhesive/cement made by Dap or 3M (and found at the hardware store). But DH doesn't recommend hot glue because it isn't a strong enough bond.

The bride ears were trickier and more spendy, cuz you have to buy that headband. DH removed the ears, trim and veil, and then affixed the ears to the ball cap the same way he did the groom ears. It's harder because of the sequins. There is a wire loop forming each bride ear, and when you detach the ears from the headband, there is wire at the bottom that can be pushed through the slits in the ball cap, and then covered with felt. When you cut the material off the headband you'll see how the ears are attached to it and maybe be able to reuse that structure. DH used Barge to affix the veil and trim at the top.

Hope this helps!

Hi! Congrats on the upcoming wedding and Honeymoon!

We were married in a DFTW in October of 1999, but it seems alot has changed since then! We got a "free" Turret room in the Grand Floridian on the night of our wedding as a "gift" for getting married there. Of course, we didn't have the $700 a night to keep staying there, so they moved us to a "regular room" in the GF for the remainder of the honeymoon... They didn't give the watch gifts to us like they seem to do now, and I have to say, I'm jealous!!

We only wore our Bride/Groom ears on our rehersal dinner night. They really didn't seem as popular then like they are now. They didn't have the Just Married buttons then either. We did get a Gold KTTW card, which several people had noticed when we paid for things and commented "They had never seen a gold one" Not sure now if it was because we had a conceirge room in GF or because we had been married in WDW...now I wonder!!

We went on the cruise (!8th sailing of the Wonder) after a week at WDW. Back then there were only 3 or 4 day cruises (not even land and sea packages!) and they knew we were on our honeymoon. In our room we got Mickey/Minnie champagne glasses, sparkling cider and something else in a really cute sturdy triangle shaped box. Also a cake at our table one of the nights...

can't remember much else in particular. Not sure if we got any free desserts or not in that time. But then again, we didn't wear our ears at all, and didn't have pins, so that may be why. We did talk to others who were married in the same week (you know, the ones you see running around the resorts in their wedding gowns! ) but that didn't score us anything free!

Anyway, not sure if that helps a whole lot, since it was awhile ago!! But best wishes and have a great time!!

We had our honeymoon in WDW and had it noted in our reservations. We stayed at the CSR and the hotel gave us a bottle of champagne at the bar.

The ears are definitely worth it. Everyone was incredibly nice and every CM congratulated us. We got a boat all to ourselves on POTC and many attractions sat us up front for rides and shows. At one of the CS locations we were treated with a free dessert. Some of the TS restaurants gave us a special dessert too.

My husband enjoyed it so much that he always wants to take our ears with us on our anniversary trip. I've told him we'll take them when we got to renew our vowes one day.

Congratulations and have fun planning!

We got married and honeymooned at Disney in March. I will say I was disappointed as we did not get champagne or anything in either our hotel at Disney or our hotel at Vero Beach. BUT on the flip side, we got TONS of desserts--no joke, one at almost every single sit down restaurant we ate at. AND we got several completely free treats from the carts. At MK, there is an egg roll cart in Adventureland and we ordered like six egg rolls, and the CM just said they were ours, no money needed. The same thing happened at the McDonald's fry station. And goodness at AKL, there is a guy there who does a whole chant for brides and grooms and makes an HUGE production. We also got our very own "honeymoon safari" at Kilamanjaro Safaris. It was really cool to have the car all to ourselves and the tour guide didn't have to give her traditional schpiel so we could ask her whatever questions we wanted and she would answer.

The part I always like the best is talking to other guests, and when we wore our hats, they would ask us all kinds of questions. It gave us a great opportunity to share the joy and our excited with everyone!

update

Since we have just come back from our honeymoon, I will update my own question. We receive some pixie dust. Not as much as some but it made for some very nice moments. We received an annoucement and round of applause from Whispering Canyon Cafe. We received a room upgrade from the Wilderness Lodge. We got free mickey straws from Roaring Forks. We receive free margaritas and daiquiries from Coronado springs and sovenir cups. We receive free deserts From Artiste Pointe, Sci-Fi, and Cali Grill. We were allowed to enter the fast pass gates at several rides, got free snacks and some of the park vendors. we got a song from the singers on Main Street in Magic Kingdom. Sorry I do not know what you call them. The photopass photograohers always took extra pictures of us. We receive fastpasses, but could not use them all. We got special seating at The lion king, and the Lights Motor Action Stunt show. We got our own safari at Animal kingdom. We got confetti on mthe table at Cindrella Royal Table, Cali Grill, Artist Pointe, 50 Prime Time, and Arkersus. We got free cupcake and Table mat at Chef Mickeys. We also receive free valet parking for our entire stay at the Wilderness Lodge.

We were there celebrating our 25th anniversary and we were upgraded to a suite at the Coronado; received flowers from the CSR as well as robes for the length of our stay and turn down service; they also sent balloons and autographed picturs of Minnie and Mickey. Every restaurant we went to made a big deal of our anniversary (except for the WCC--which was the worse meal of the trip--DH got sick on the food). We got singing with cake at every place; Fulton's decorated our dessert place with "Happy Anniversary" on it and CP decorated our table with a heart (pictures below):
