I had thought about the DP too, but honestly, if you are on a budget, it's not worth it. We are probably only getting appetizers at those restaurants I listed; as each entree is about $30 dollars.

It's kind of funny you mentioned the character breakfast. He made a joke about going to one a couple weeks ago..but then when I said I actually was planning on making a reservation for the Garden Grill, he was like "really? I didn't think you would want to go so I didn't want to ask you seriously..and thought I'd make a joke about it..." Definitely book one! Honestly, the people who are the characters know when someone is not really interested in seeing them, so they can gauge their responses on how he responds to them!

Last year i took my DBF to Disney for the first time. Well he had been there for conferences and when he was real young (we are 36&37). But this was his first vacation there. Now he has been bit too! His favorites were of course all the thrill rides. He loved all the food and really like Hollywood Studios. He loved the first time he walked into the MK and all the fireworks. But what he loved the most was being a kid! I could see it in his eyes. So dont worry so much about WHAT you do but WHO you are doing it with...you really can't go wrong in Disney!!

LOL Kind of the same thing with my boyfriend. He's been there more recently than I have, but still almost 10 years ago (for me it's about 18 years ) but I made ADR's at Chef Mickey's and he gave me kind of a funny look...then I told him about Donald's Breakfast Safari (Donald is his favorite) and how he should really let me know if he wants to eat there or not because they might be booked already, and I came home to find that he'd made ADR's while I was at work! I love the characters, from dining to just seeing them. I'll still get their autographs and pictures - I'm well prepared to be a kid again

Welcome to the boards! This will be our first trip together too; we've both done WDW before, but never together. Good luck, and let us know what you guys end up doing when you come back
