For Adults only

Big suprise, I have another question.

Since, to my disappointment, Pleasure Island will be closed before I get to WDW, where can adults go for a little while just to get some time alone. We love our children, but with 5 kids we need a little time alone. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Lyle

You could try the Dueling Piano Bar on the Boardwalk. Another option would be
to visit Epcot WS, have dinner there and walk around the world then watch the
firworks. If you plan it for an EMH you would have tons of time in Epcot.

Also if your kids don't want to spend much time in Epcot, this would give you
a chance to view to your hearts content.

This will be our first trip without "alone time" and I find the most romance to be at World Showcase. We're not big dancers, but if you're a) into singing along, and b) not afraid of smoke, Jellyrolls can be a lot of fun!

Me and the hubby always sneak off to the lounge (the resorts all have at least 1) and have a drink . Its not a lot I guess , but that bit of time we take is just enough time to unwind a bit .

My DH and I love Raglan Road. They have great food (the It's Not Bleedin Chowder is amazing), a nice atmosphere, a very talented and entertaining Irish band and dancer. We go around 9 or so, order dinner and a couple of beers while we listen to the band.

On multiple occasions, we have enjoyed riding the boat around the lake to the different MK resorts-- Stopping for dinner or drinks. We have also enjoyed sitting on the beach at both the Poly and WL with a drink and just relaxing after dark. If you are there in the off season, you will have the whole place to yourself.
I am sure there are other quiet things to do at the other resorts as well. Last visit we stayed at the POP and one night we just walked out on the bridge and sat and talked. We are staying at POR this trip, and I am hoping there will be lots of quiet places since the grounds sound beautiful!!!!

Mizner's Lounge in the Grand Floridian is a great place to have a drink and hang out. As is the Rose and Crown Pub at England in Epcot ( the bar inside). The dueling piano bar on the Boardwalk is fun also.

Where are you staying? We always get a tropical, fruity drink and hang out on the hammocks! It's gorgeous on the water and very relaxing and romantic.

I also love World Showcase. Kids don't appreciate it, and there's lots of opportunity for romance.

The boardwalk between epcot and MGM is a blast.
They have several bar right on the water.
The piano bar is my absolute favorite and they are open late. I think it is way more fun the pleasure island

You could do a Couples' Massage at one of the Spas. Mizner's Lounge at the GF has wonderful, adult atmosphere. The top-tier restaurants are also wonderful. But walking around World Showcase hand-in-hand, stopping for a drink and a smooch are wonderfully romantic. We used to do that once a week when we lived nearby.
