| Magical ideas for my 20th Anniversary Trip HI, I am new to the boards and have read many good ideas for a romantic trip to Disney World. My husband and I are taking our first trip away from our boys (14 and 17) and going back to Disney World, were we spent our honeymoon. I have already planned a lunch at the Coral Reef in Epcot with the personalized menu and diver with a message (thank by the way to the post on the boards here). Looking for some other ideas. I would like to try and do something special in each park. We already have dinner reservations at Hollywood and Vine in MGM and JIKO at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I did tell them it was our anniversary trip but didn't ask if there was anything special they could do. Also, where is the best place to watch the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom? Any suggestions would be wonderful!!! Thanks

My husband and I always enjoyed watching the fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian. Or there is the California Grill where you can time your dinner reservation for the time of the fireworks? Or how about one of the firework cruises? My husband and I had our special 25th anniversary dinner at Fulton's in Downtown Disney. It has special meaning for us because it is the first Disney restaurant my husband ever took me to. Be sure when you have your ADR's made (either by you or a TA), that you have it mentioned that it is your anniversary. Every restaurant we went to in September (except Whispering Canyon Cafe) made a big deal of it--cupcake, certificate, etc. Crystal Palace decorated our table with confetti in the shape of a heart. | |

| I agree with mentioning that it's your anniversary when you make the ADRs - you can always call back and have that noted. In Epcot, to us, there's nothing more romantic than just strolling around World Showcase. Often, after Illuminations finishes, we just take our time coming out of the park and it's lovely to see if after most people have left.

| Happy early anniversary!! I agree that H&V isn't a good romantic restaurant. I would suggest the Brown Derby or even Mama Melrose (DH and I like the ambiance in there, too). I'm with Cheryl on the fact there's nothing more romantic than a leisurely stroll around the World Showcase at night, Illuminations, and then taking it slow exiting the park. That is how we begin and end our trips ![]()

I couldn't agree more! Maybe you could try and switch your ADR to a different restaurant at MGM (I know the name has changed), and Epcot is one of the prettiest of the parks, and it's absolutely magical at night. As for the best place to watch the fireworks. If you want to watch them while dining, I suggest the California Grille. The food is wonderful and so is the atmosphere. Have a great anniversary ![]()

| WELCOME TO THE BOARDS. We just spent our honeymoon at WDW. We went to all of the romantic restaurants and they try to do something special for you at each one. Cali Grill would be nice they would try to seat you near the window so you can have a good seat for the fireworks and see the castle. We were there early enough that they even made a big deal about the sun setting. it was beautiful. Victoria and Alberts is real expensive but nice. they even had the harpist come and play a special song for us. And if you do any charater meals most of the character will make a big deal or put on alittle show for you. WCC made everyone give us an applause for being newly weds but we went for lunch not dinner. Artist pointe at WL is also very nice and will seat you so you can see the waterfall and give you personalize menus and free desserts or drinks. You can also see part of the water parade show from there too. I hope you have fun. Dawn
