| Disney Fun but BEWARE Hi everyone! My wife and I just returned from a WDW trip where we stayed at Pop Century. Everything was good to great including the weather...ONE EXCEPTION though. The Orlando police have informed me that many others have experienced the same fate as me with the common thread being that we all used the Disney express baggage to your room service. I lost $2300 worth of articles from my bag! The important thing seems to be NOT TO USE THIS BAGGAGE SERVICE. Somehow thieves are doing their best to dampen a fun trip. Please consider my loss as your gain...now you know! pirate |

| I'm sorry that happened to you. We used the service in August and didn't have an issue. I hope there is a way to recover your lost items. ![]()

| Glad you had a great trip but sorry you had things missing from your bags. I am always nervous about my bags being away from me, so I keep them locked and don't put anything of value in them (rather, I carry on anything valuable). This is the first time I have heard of issues like this happening with Disney's Magical Express.

| So sorry about your experience, I have used them numerous times and never had a problem but this would definitely make me re-think using it again.

| So sorry you've had this problem. I've been lucky -- I've used the DME service 7 or 8 times since 2005 and have never had anything taken from my bags. I've always found them to be very reliable. Eileen

| Hello and welcome! Thank you for letting us know that you had a problem. I'm sorry this happened to you but I am glad you had a nice trip. Wow $2300 worth of stuff in your bags...I would've been really upset. I tend to keep my valuables with me until I can lock them up in the resort safe.

| I had my expensive flat iron stolen from my bag at MCO and 1 week later a report came out saying that MCO has one of the highest number of reported incidences of stolen property from luggage in the U.S. So I blamed it on the Orlando Airport workers not DME.

| THis is why DH and I lock our bags. I don't care if the FAA has to cut them should there be a problem; however, it prevents the average worker from feeling the need to rummage through my suitcases.

| I don't pack anything of value unless I'm driving to my destination. it's just not worth the risk.

| Oh no ... that's terrible. You have made up my mind about NOT using DME luggage service. I guess we will claim our bags and bring them to the bus ourselves. Last edited by busybee1; 02-20-2009 at 04:32 PM.. |

| Do you know they make TSA approved locks? They accept a master key that the TSA agents have. DH bought one last year as he had to check all his expensive paintball equipment. They opened the bag to check it and locked it up again.
