As an update, we got an excellent quote yesterday for our trip! We're now having our trip from May 31, 2010- June 4, 2010! Sadly we're not staying at a Disney hotel, we're staying at the Best Western in DTD. No DDP for us this time, but at least it's better than no Disney! We're working on saving up for a House, but I know Erick really needs and deserves a Vacation especially this one!

Thank you so much Marnie! We can't wait to go. The only thing we can think of right now that would cancel us from going is if I have to have knee surgery this year, but fingers crossed that isn't happening.

Thank you so much for the Pixie Kelly and fingers crossed no knee surgery. Erick and I even mentioned that since we really want to go to Disney, I don't care if it's QS Meals the entire time since there's still plenty to choose from and buying our Suvaniers at the Outlet Malls and the $10 and under store besides bringing a few surprises with us, we're going to Disney and I'm having the best time at Disney with my 2 favorite people and the best mom and creating a new adventure for us, even as frugal as it has to be. What they don't know yet is since our Disney Store had a special going on with all the stuffed animals, I bought 3 Mickey Beanie Babies and a Minnie, however I do need one more for Mom. Skyler is getting 1 Mickey in place of candy for Halloween this year and the rest are being saved for the trip!

We did finally get our Disney Watter Bottles atte Disney Store and have started to use them. They're comicg with us though on the trip! Erick has Mickey, my mom has Minnie, Skyler ha Ppayhouse MMCH, & I have Tink!

I'm very much in the Disney Spirit tonight Erick has been hounding me to find a job and luckily our local Disney Store is Hiring so as a Disney lover, that was the first place I went to fill out an application! We didn't get to make it there last night as Erick's phone was having problems, so it was off to another Mall that had a Apple Store to have them replace it for him(on the Stand-By list). We thought we would make it back in time to go to the mall 5 minutes down the road from us to pick up my PreOrdered copy of "Snow White" however we sadly made it to the mall as they were closing Well Since I had the car tonight, that was Skyler's and my mission to pick up "Snow White", turn in my application, and exchange an extra Mickey Beanie Baby for another Minnie one.

Erick liked my idea in some reusable shopping bags having a bag with some goodies for each one of us. Mom is getting a Minnie bag that says "Happy Birthday", Skyler is getting a Mickey bag that says "Happy Birthday", Erick is getting a Vintage Mickey bag, and I'm getting a Snow White bag I thought they would be great for us to use around the park for our trip too! Erick and Skyler are each getting a Mickey Beanie Baby in their bags and Mom & I are each getting a Minnie. So we don't get Skyler pulling at every stuffed animal, I also picked up one of each Beanie Baby to give to Skyler each day in the room: Donald, Pluto, Pooh, & Tigger.

We did get "Snow White" which I am debating watching tonight or holding off until my actual Birthday for our drive to Boston for my Brother's Bar Mitzvah. I did also purchase a Plush Mickey & Minnie to wrap up with a letter from Mickey & Santa as our Big Reveal for Skyler and placed under our Christmas Tree with some balloons in the box (sorry Eileen I kind of stole your idea from when you revealed your trip to CJ)! We still have a roll of Mickey & Minnie Christmas Paper from last year (I hope there is enough, if not I can find the same kind if not another kind of Mickey & Minnie X-mas Paper).

Skyler & I also headed to a store I have come to love called 5Below! Everything is $5 and under! 5Below usually has a decent assortment of Disney items for sale and I'm glad I thought to check there for the pens instead of having to order them online. I more than likely will go back to buy more pens incase we lose some or some lose their ink, that we're stocked. We bought Skyler his Autograph Pens, which are Disney Pixar's Cars, I think I bought him 9 pens total, some activity books (I was going to buy some Cars Crayons, but they seemed to be broken). I found some Disney Princess and Tinkerbell Pens, and Notepads to stick in my mom's and my bags incase we need to leave a note or something, we have paper and pens, I also found some Winnie the Pooh ones, and found some Tinkerbell, Princess, & Cars word search adult activity books for us adults too for some down time, or car ride. I did also find 2 Cinderella Photo Albums for us to place some of our favorite pictures in, now it's time to find some more masculine character items for Erick.

The Cars Pens and some of the Tinkerbell and Princess Pens I found were the big ones that are easy for the characters to sign autographs with! I also found some Crayola Drawing Pads which were less expensive than my original idea for an autograph book for Skyler and slightely bigger, to fit more autographs per page and per book, but still light weight. I bought about 6 of them and then I will be covering the front with scrapbook paper I bought in Michaels along with some stickers and some Disney Character Stamps! I can't wait to see how they turn out and hopefully I can get some decent pictures to share with you all

We did finally get the deposit for our trip paid and I am getting way too excited. We have put some Disney Applications on our phones already and are mapping out rides and attractions we would like to do, and that Skyler would enjoy as well. We will be doing Quick Service Dining and possibly some off sight dining for those early nights since we won't be staying at a Disney Resort Hotel and will either have one or 2 cars to get around.

We are going to suggest to my mom meeting us at the Hotel in Orlando, that way instead of it being an extra 5-6 hours bringing her home and back north to come home we can part ways in Disney and head back home after our busy trip

I am keeping my fingers crossed they will continue the Dessert Party for Wishes as we may try to make an ADR for that just as a special treat for our trip!

Thank you so much Kelly, I hope to hear back from the Disney Store! I've always wanted to work there (even in high school) and this was the firs time I've actually seen a sign in their window that they're hiring!

I did last night in fact start working on the autograph books last night. Sadly the ink pad that came with the stamp set comes out too faint, so I do need to buy another ink pad. The 2 different Mickey scrap book papers I chose for Skyler's I love. I think he will like them! I now need to see if I need more Disney Scrapbook Paper since 1 or 2 of the books will be used for our countdown.

The only thing our Michaels stopped selling was the Mickey Head punch.
I will defanitely post pictures when Im done!

I just caught up on your PTR (not sure how I missed this before). Sounds like you are going to have a wonderful trip celebrating your anniversary and your mom's birthday. I love how you are planning to surprise you son about the trip, I am sure that will be the best gift ever. Can't wait to hear more and I hope you hear something about the job real soon.

Thank you! I can't wait to surprise him too! It's the one thing this year for all 3 of us I can't wait to wrap up and put under the tree! I know he won't think anything of it until he sees Mickey himself when we're there, but it will be the one present I can't wait for him to open. He wanted Mickey & Minnie last night, but right into anstorage tub everything went so there's no peaking on his part or stealing Mickey & Minnie! I just wish I could afford to share the magic and let my mom bring along her DBF, but it isn't so this year! Funny enough when she came to visit us for a second time this year, DFil told Skyler that we needed to go visit my mom in Florida and she needed to take him to Disney I can't wait to be there for our Anniversary too! Thank you for hoping I get the job! At least being surrounded by Disney Merchandise will make me love that job(probably just difficult not to want to buy everything, since paychecks will get turned into Disney Dollars on Gift Cards for the trip).

Another update, I have finally decided my mom needs a PPer(which will be her X-mas present) loaded with the hotel info, and checked off with rides we think her back can handle and shows and other attractions she would enjoy! I also will be printing out the menus from the QS restaurants so she can check off what looks interesting to her. She will also get her copy of the letter from Santa/Mickey as well. Sadly I won't get to see her face X-mas morning unless we have her open it on Skype or via a web chat. I will also include our custom maps as well in it wen they arrive.
