Question Anniversary pins?

My DH and I will be in WDW for our 2nd wedding anniversary in July. I know that we can get pins that say it is our anniversary, but does it really do any good or will we just blend in with all of the "birthday" pins and such? Also, should I mention it when we check-in? I did note it when I made the reservations. Thanks!

People (especially cm's) do notice the pins and wish you happy anniversary.
Mention that it is your anniversary when you actually check-in to your resort and if you make ADR's for meals especially one(s) that you want a special recognition for - favorite type food, the actual day of etc. We went on an early anniversary trip this past Jan. (our actual anniversary is in Mar) We received balloons and a card in our room at SSR. We got a dessert with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate on the rim of the plate at LeCellier and at the Crystal Palace breakfast we were greeted with glitter on the table in the shape of two hearts, a card, and a certificate for a picture frame (worth up to $25) from the emporium. Nothing will replace the champagne bottle and clock with disney song chimes we received on our 20th anniversary from the Polynesian (lost in house fire a few years ago) But yes whatever you think will make your vacation special and surprises come with telling them you are celebrating anniversary.
Have a wonderful time

Congratulations on celebrating your 2nd Anniversary in July (you're celebrating your 2nd Anniversary a month after us), we're also getting the buttons for our 3rd Anniversary and Honeymoon and I'm making up cute labels in Waltography Font to put on ours, and maybe add a couple of stickers to ours to make them unique. Some PPers have told me if you mention it, some restaurants like Narcoosees, Coral Reef, and I believe some others will make customized menus that you can take home with you and have as a keepsake, as well as Chef Mickey's has some for Anniversaries too.

There were a ton of pins when we were there, but the CM's were going out of their way to notice and pay special attention. It was my mom's birthday when we were there and that was noted on our restervation. When we arrived at our hotel they had her bday pin all ready for her even though the actual day wasn't until the middle of our trip. Have a great trip!!

Congratulations on your Second Anniversary!

DH and I wore our pins last year on our no kids Anniversary trip to WDW. We were treated to an extra sweet at the end of each ADR that we had scheduled. We also recieved some complementary bubbly on the house at Victoria and Alberts, and we were treated to a free Dole Whip Float by the sweet CM at Aloha Isles, along with many many well wishes from the CM's - and all this was before the "What will you Celebrate" promotion. So wear those pins!

We just came back from celebrating our 27th anniversary in WDW, and all I can say is "Wow!" We celebrated our 25th there, and noted it and wore our pins then, got balloons delivered and a great table at AP. This time, though, we got free dessert twice. We never mentioned anything, just wore our anniversary pins wnen we went. So we got free dessert twice all week, out of the ....twice...that we ate table serve.

I think that you all have me convinced! Now I just have to convince the DH that this is the way to go... I'm the Disney freak in the house, but as we get closer to our trip I see him getting excited. I had some Disney music on while I was making dinner, and he came home from work and danced through the kitchen.... maybe he is a closet Disney freak and it's taken this long for it to come out!!! Can't wait, I'm too excited!

If it makes you feel any better I had to convince DH to wear them since he didn't want to do the Groom ears as one of my close friends who she and her Hubby also Honeymooned at Disney did recommended to us. Good luck to getting your DH to wear the button.

We're going to be celebrating our 14th anniversary at WDW but I know there's no way I'll be able to convince my husband to wear an anniversary pin.

25th Anniversary

Good Morning,

We will going to WDWin September to celebrate our 25th Wedding Annviersary and I have read so much about anniversary pins, how did we get one? I would love for us to get a little extra attention as this is very special for us as we have gone through so much in the past 25 years including have a premie 21 years ago to me surving a very serious cancer (two years in remission when we go) to being in the military and losing 2 fathers and a mother to illness. We are really wanting this to be very special.

thanks
